I'm interested in addressing any problems with the chassis before it bends or breaks - but I don't see any information on the company website about fabrication or these parts. I'd like to see installation instructions and some kind of testing that the product does what it's supposed to do.

I already have a lot of @Metalcloak stuff, I'd be interesting to see if they come up with a solution that's compatible with the products I already have installed.

(gentle poke at Metalcloak... hint hint.)
There is not any info on the site. Best best is to call them directly

Has anyone got their hands on a set of the shift autowerx frame braces or do you just keep getting new delayed release dates?

One of the perks to the Mojave, factory reenforced frame.

Yes, but where is the frame reinforced? The diesel also has a strengthened frame, doesn't mean it's stronger where others have been cracking.

Here is the thread for it, no need to restate the already stated

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...-pics-and-chassis-suspension-breakdown.27544/

Where its bending isnt really einforced on the mojave. The mojave got some additional welding in the rear, not actual extra plate or thickness. This is bending the actual frame which is the same there.

That said, I still doubt this is being bent from normal wear and tear and is more of the go really fast over whoops with my 1200 pounds of crap in the back crowd. Considering the amount of gladiators out there doing all kinds of crazy shit, if there was a real frame issue we'd know of it by now. I'm sure this does reinforce the frame, but I dont think the vast majority of gladiator owners need this.

Bumping this up as I placed an order today (called them) for the frame bridge. I'm trying to be preventative on my 2020 JTR with Scout Tuktut camper in back. I'll let you all know how the process goes.

Got my Shift Autowerx frame truss in hand. Comes in pieces to weld in place. It also comes with bump stops as an FYI. The holes are not drilled for them though in the bottom of the bump bracket. Going to take a minute until I can get them installed but I'll keep this thread updated.

I was at Shift yesterday getting Oil & Fuel FIlter change done, i went ahead and got scheduled to have the Shift Brace Brackets installed on 04/30, they said it will take about 2 days to complete. They said after my purchase they were down to 1 set left and just had 2 sets purchased that morning online. At that same time they are going to modify the braces to accomodate a set of Fox Hydro Bumps as well.

I am stoked for this, as i am getting an ORU Designs Bruin installed on the gladiator the week before. Also, i am using my Dad's 08' Power Wagon to tow our 20' Jayco @ 7.5 mpg.
So it will be well worth the investment.

Edit: Jerry one of the owners, showed me a Mojave while i was waiting, the frame section right over the rear coil had a bulge from where the frame bent and had to go somewhere, he said they are going to try to restraighten that one, but then he showed me on his phone where another mojave came in and the guy was towing and it bent at the same point but because it went unoticed it evetually forced a stress crack right in the saem location.

Yes, I remember the bends occurring just behind the shock mounts. The was dimples in some of the earlier frames that made us possibly feel that made it a failure point too?

My first thought when I saw pics of bent frames was the shocks were too long and that was the point supporting all of the weight instead of the spring/bump stops. I was also thinking that a super high shock shaft speed moment could have a similar effect.

I have no idea on the HSS. I'm a semi pro self taught welder of 35 years, but far from an expert in this situation. Ive seen videos of pre/post heating and different rod/wire types for the HSS.
I have a 21 Ecodiesel gladiator and it has those dimples in the frame right there, why would they even do that? I’ve been pulling my rock crawler set up for awhile now and have had no problems about 5500 lbs.

How’d it turn out ???

Thinking about these as insurance … I tow a travel trailer with my ecodiesel. I don’t wheel this truck, but I’m not convinced one way or another that these frames are week or what

Frame strength is always good.

If you guys are beating and loading your Gladiator's that hard, you might want to consider, from the very beginning; A Dodge Ram Power Wagon or Ford Super Duty. Jump it up a notch. Just sayin'.

Gladiators and Taco's and the rest of the 1/2 tonners don't compare to a 3/4 ton or higher rated truck.

Good luck with your mods. And i understand the JT is an awesome setup. But some might need a bigger frame and suspension front to back from the 'Get-Go".

I own a Mojave for it's stronger frame. The rest of the Mo was just icing on the cake.

Be well. Jeep on.
