I received my letter last week, but had registered electronically as well. I called and made an appointment for mid-August, since I didn't have any issues. Well, that changed this Monday night when my 2024 completely shut down while I was driving it. Any screen or light on the dash was flashing, along with a bunch of error messages. I had a hard time starting it back up and shifting into gear and had a complete loss of power steering.

I managed to get it home and reached out to Stellantis Roadside. It was very easy to set up service, but the confirmation that my driver was coming from four hours away was ridiculous. So, gave it a shot and tried to start it, which it did, and made the trip to the dealer with zero power steering. The electronic 'temper tantrum' subsided on the way, so it was just a matter of driving a brick with mud tires without power steering.

After dropping it off the night before, I called in the morning and was assured an advisor would call with updates. The day was getting late, so I called to check in. I was asked who my advisor was, which I didn't know if he/she never called me, then told they all left for the day and I'd have to call in the morning. I found contact info for the manager and he did call first thing to apologize, but confirmed the dealer has about 900 pending appointments for this issue and they are out of loaners. So, I'm in a self-funded rental for now and waiting on Stellantis to call me back and hoping that the manager is able to work some magic, either on the loaner or the repair. This silliness is probably going to result in a long wait for a loose connection that took 10 minutes to address.

I did reach out to my salesman who has been supportive and helping where he can. I also asked him to let me know what it's worth on a trade if I lose my patience. I absolutely love this thing, but I could make due with another truck that won't aggravate me.
I think your dealer is full of shit. Less than 1% of the recalled vehicles actually have a faulty plug. Comparing the recall inspection to your actual breakdown is misleading. Also, what you experienced sounds more like a battery(s) issue or bus connector issue. I'd find a better dealer if you have more in the area.

If someone has no issue and just responding to the recall, I can't see why this isn't a have a free coffee while you wait kind of commitment. I've been leaning towards a battery issue and not quite sure why this isn't a priority. Not because I want to be special or anything, but if it really is a recall-related failure, I'd think Stellantis needs to know about it right away.

You're not wrong. If anything they could save themselves a boatload of customer and service dept irritation by being clear that the INSPECTION portion is 20 minutes that you can wait for and have a cuppa coffee in the lounge. If the repair is needed, it's going to be a loaner/shuttle situation and handle accordingly.

Had I not had the pressure test done and the UConnect diagnostics performed I could have been in and out in an hour. I'd wait for that. Hell, I spent 20 minutes shooting the shit with a salesman on the floor drooling over Hellcat Durangos.

I had an initial response from Stellantis, offering rental reimbursement of $50 per day, or $60 a day if I rent a Chrysler vehicle. My response was that I picked the cheapest possible rental because I didn't trust you would reimburse me and I will still have the same out of pocket costs if I upgrade to one of your vehicles. I'm not holding my breath for an answer today, but at least we have some baby steps.

I wonder what the Bronco folks are going through with their massive recall?

Probably similar. We had the BS in for a recall and some maintenance. The local Ford dealer is jammed up with Bronco and F150 recall work alone. And if you ask any of the service writers, they'll all tell you they specifically do not own newer Fords for many reasons, least of which is the recalls.
