With that said, I don't fault anyone for selling/trading their vehicle if they are truly worried. Peace of mind, in my opinion, is much more important than worrying. But I also don't want to be the guy who is using fearmongering tactics to discourage those who don't have a good understanding of the CP4 and its track record. I've had my 2015 and 2020 EcoDiesel since new. I've had no issues. I have a buddy that just turned 450,000 miles on his 2015 EcoDiesel. He's still running the factory CP4 pump. We both run biodiesel and a fuel additive in every tank.

Ford no longer sells the 3.0 diesel.
GM still sells their 3.0 diesel,.
Ford still sells (a boatload of) their 6.7 which uses the flawed pump.

Well, I have a 2022, I got a recall about the tailgate and brought it in the dealership. They took care of it. After that though, I was told that there was the recall for the HPFP but they currently don’t have a fix. That was back in April. Since then, I have been FIGHTING this stupid ass P026C CEL that pisses me off. Hard to drive a vehicle and look at a CEL without reacting to it. I would remove it with my OBDII and the second time I jump on the highway, it comes back on. Not the first time, but the second. And it only comes on and stays on whenever I’m on the highway. If I drive around all day without hitting pass 68-70, the light would turn off. Made 3 visits to the dealership and no fix to the code. I finally called Stellantis themselves and they set me up another appointment and called me back 3 days later and said that it will not get fixed because of the HPFP. No matter what part gets changed, it won’t fix it is what I was told. So I went on YouTube and Google and some people said if you use an AFE scorcher or Banks Derringer that it would make it that the CEL won’t come back on….. well, I’ve been through 20 different combinations and settings and CEL still comes back on. I understand there isn’t a fix, but dammit, I hate the check engine light. Any others with the same?

I had read a post on the 1500 EcoD forum about a member with a similar experience around this code. For them a fuel filter change cleared it up. Maybe change it the. Run HS extreme treatment to clear the injectors. Not the regular EDT, they make a fuel component cleaner. Might be worth a shot.

I'm one of the ones that has a ordered JT sitting in Toledo.... It has been in JS status since Apr 18 according to dealer. Jeep.com and Jeep tracker haven't changed since mid May when code 573 was added to the build(assuming it means under recall).
Jeep Gladiator Recall: 3.0L EcoDiesel engine high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failure (2021-2023 Gladiator) My JTURD

I am starting to see movement with folks having warranty work done mentioned in the forums. NHTSA has additional documents related to these now, that were released in Jul and Aug. the part numbers mentioned earlier look to be correct..... Jeepcares contacted me and said resolution on HPFP recall by 10/24...

Now fingers crossed that UAW makes a deal with the automakers this week lol....... murphy is alive and well in all of this....

In the good news category the pile of items to add to the jeep when it gets here continues to get taller.

Still waiting on my recalled fuel pump. Each time I call the dealer they act as though they no nothing about this issue and they say there's no part available. Any update or advice on how to proceed? Or is this just a wait-it-out thing?

No new and improved recall pumps. It sounds like yours hasn’t failed yet?

Well according to Allmoparts.com I can add both parts to the cart and proceed to checkout. So when I go see the dealer tomorrow and they say parts aren't available yet. I guess I can call bullshit?! @AllMoparParts.com ? Anything actually in stock?

Hi Robert,
Our website does not indicate stocking levels due to its fluid nature however both parts are available in about 10 days.

Gents,

The TSB instructions for how to complete the HPFP 01A recall have been uploaded to the NTSB page.
here is the link and the file ;)

I plan on saving this for later in case I need to do again way down the road lol.
Still no fuel pumps so doesn’t really matter for those with a vehicle sitting at the dealer. Although it’s a little progress I guess.

That is some good info.

I looked through it, it says you need witech, but no where in the steps does it tell the tech to flash any software updates. So it is still unknown if it was just a hardware issue or software causing hardware problems.
