Recommendations on a backseat dog hammock

I have a golden retriever that rides in the backseat frequently. Black interior and golden hair are a bad combination. I’ve been looking online at backseat dog hammocks to protect the cloth upholstery. Can anyone recommend a brand that fits well in a gladiator? I’d like it to be water repellent too because I take her to the beach and trying to keep wet dog odor off the seats. Open to opinions on alternative seat cover as well. Anyone had experience?

I had CoverKing in my last vehicle and 100% recommend them. Great fit and you can get a variety of colors and materials to make it fit your vehicle. I had neoprene in the back for the dogs and it wore really well for over 10 years.

Do you need the back seat to stay in there? The wife and I don’t have kids around anymore and we do have a 100 lb Great Dane so for a while I just took out the double 60 split seat and tossed in a floor for her.

We then got a fridge/freezer and I took out the single 40 split seat, and threw out the dog floor and made a super nice carpeted split floor for both. The Dane doesn’t have to jump so high to get in and out now and we have no need to have the seats in there. Works perfect and the seats stay nice

It’s waterproof, washable, durable, can be attached multiple ways, looks good and has a bag you can use for dog stuff.

I take mine out and spray it off with the hose and scrub it with a brush. It’s dries quickly and is still soft.

we literally picked the gladiator over the JL for the sake of a bed. We live in the PNW, so I guess I’ll argue the canopy cost a heck of a lot more than a backseat liner…. But still- wet dog in the car is a no-go.

anyhow its been really nice and held up just fine vs dogs and kids.

I have a big Bernese. I took out the 60% side and put some carpet and towels down on the floor. The small side still allows a 3rd person back there. The floor is low and it's easy for him to get in and out.

You can use the front hammock part or just tuck it away under the rear seats.

I also have the matching door protectors.

My only complaint is that after a couple of years, the rubber waterproofing material on the underside of the seat cover has started to leave little crumbles on the seat. I doubt it is very water-resistant anymore, though it was for a time.

My first purchase for my Jeep for the same reasons you mentioned. You can zipper up the sides if your doors are off or hook the other side to your front headrests for the hammock. I tuck the sides and front under the backseat and it fits perfect since it was made for Wrangler/Gladiator.

As I said, "first purchase". Two days later, my wife’s friend spilled a glass of wine in the backseat. I curled it and dumped it. Wineproof and waterproof. I have a lab that loves water so it was a must purchase. Comes with seatbelt attachments that clip to a dog collar if you need that too.

Try DirtyDog4x4. I had a rear compartment cover/liner in my JK. For the JT I got the seat hammock and webbing that keeps my GSD from climbing up front.
