The good news is it should be easier to balance then the JLUs as that thing always wants to tip fwd when picking up, making it super awkward to remove solo

Removing the hard top without help looks posable. I am sure if I was still in my 20's I could do it. Now that I am in my 40's I would just trip over the back part of the cab and bed drop and break the glass in the top and be stuck in my chair for a week with sore mussels.

Ill be getting a lift to hang in the garage ASAP.

Yes. Many of them. One has bluetooth ill stick to the simple rig. My lift is just mounted on a 4X4 in my rafters . Lifts the top off in just a few minutes. Stores it up high enough so I can park underneath it .

I have put the top and doors (2) back on my JK in less than 10 min a few times when I woke up for work and the roads where unexpectedly wet.

Oh good, I was planni to rig up something with two kayak lifts. I'll just buy one purpose built, sans Bluetooth.

I hung straps and backed under, lift top about an inch, hook under four places, drive out. Took very little time. Does the freedom top stay in one piece when removed? Even so just find the balance points on that back part and drive under some hanging straps with rubberized hooks set an inch or so above resting. One man job. Unscrewing was quick.

I’ve been looking everywhere for a video of the hardtop removal on the gladiator. NOTHING!!
I have a top lift pro and was looking to see if I could rig it to work with the Gladiator. I highly doubt it tho.
Why the lack of transparency with the hard top removal process?!?! What gives?

I'd like to see a lift/hoist that mounts to the trail rail mounts in the bed and allows you to lift the top and then rotate it 90º-180º to be lowered to a cart or whatever you choose. As light as the top should be I'd imagine its possible. A ceiling hoist will do just fine also but my garage always seems so full of junk that it'd be nice to have the ability to remove it outside of the garage at times.

I could be mistaken but I think I heard the guys from TFL Truck saying they would be releasing some more Gladiator videos this week. Tow test and removal of the hard top. I sure hope I heard that right.

TFL said they would. I heard it on their live TFLnow show when they were discussing their experience with the Gladiator concepts at EJS.

Any videos of the hard top removal yet? One big advantage the JT should have over the JL is the ease of removal for the hard top.

After they announced the Launch Edition I went out and purchased a Racon ceiling mount lift (based on a previous thread I was pointed to on the Wrangler forum) and hoping this will be a good 1-man solution for removing the Gladwagon top using straps...now I just need to buy a longer ladder to install it as my ceiling is 11’ 6” in the garage http://www.racorstoragesolutions.com/(S(dqyvcebxxw4jibh2rvk4kumh))/p/detail/phl-1r
