Yeah, at first I was a little upset that I had to add something I didn't plan on adding..but after thinking about ..all things considered its probably for the best. I mean i ended up being "told' I needed to get leather seats just to have the rear armrest cup holders.... least I can do is pay a little more for something that might actually be important =POne thing my wife insisted on was the safety stuff....... I checked the other stuff but she "told me" the JT would have the safety stuff. After having it on her Grand Cherokee, and after my Dad was killed by a sleeping driver that crossed the center line over to the other shoulder - I believe all vehicles should have at least some of those features. If I was looking to buy used - I'd pay more for one with those things now and I wish the JT had lane departure built in.
I know two people who would be alive, and another who went into a care facility at age 18 who would not be there had vehicles been equipped with certain safety things. Mercedes has for years.
More sleeping idiots and distracted drivers and those who never paid attention in class on the roads these days - since they won't take those people off the roads, at least make the vehicles compensate for their lack of caring for others on the road.
That's my take.......
