2021 here. 8/2021 Build Date.

Small dribble started above the slider after a 6” downpour. Verified the leak location with a hose as coming from the notch pictured in the photo on page 30.

Found a crack in the window frame just off center along the upper edge of the slider cutout. You can see it with the slider opened. Matches the page 30 crack and is directly below the notch.

May try a dab of urethane externally in the notch rather than take a chance on the dealer damaging the top.

I've had the same problem with mine. I talked to my dealer Fremont Motors in Casper, Wyoming and they said I'd have to pay for it.. I talked to them and they said I was out of warranty.. I told them it shouldn't be a warranty issue, has it came from the factory messed up... I said a few words.. showed them where it was leaking, I took pictures. They got it in.. confirmed it was the rear window leak .. I got mine fixed under there "so claimed warranty" ( I thought) Well.. It leaked again. I took it back, they said O.. we replaced the hard top rubber seal, not the back window and now they want me to take my topper off AGAIN for the 3rd time to confirm it is the back window leaking when they already did it once. They told me that they would have to take it to a "3rd party" window place. Keep in mind i've had to take my ARE bed topper off twice for them.. And the asshats can't even do there job and fix it. I'm beyond pissed at the dealer. Worst customer service I've had.

Can you take a pic of the crack and its location? Be interested to see what issues everyone is having.

I dont see a crack in mine, like on page 30 of this thread, but the service writer was aware of the issue.
Next Fri is soonest appointment, and said they just have to go through their motions of seeing/verifying, then contact the work to local glass shop.

Hope parts are available, some of the nightmares in this thread suck, but so far local dealer here at least knows about it and is getting me in fairly soon.

Stinks will have to retint if window is replaced, and getting kids seats in/out is one of the biggest pain in the ass.

i also have this issue but i think im just going to stuff mine with the rubber seal that others have done when it bothers me enough. I alerted the dealer and they said they would contact me about it, but apparently that was a lie.

I did the rubber seal on mine and haven’t had any issues. It’s been on there for over a year and no leaks. I’m in Houston and we typically get a lot of rain.

Bah. 4/21 build date and first really good rain of the season. Went to put the dog in the back and wadda ya know? Water. Was very easy to spot with the seat delete. All down the back wall and soaked a bunch of gear. Not a good way to start the PNW rainy season, especially as repair will necessitate removing my canopy.

Update: Wow. So those of you who have been able to provide photos or just have the service dept act on things are lucky. I just got back from the Jeep dealership I've been using for my past three Jeeps and was told that in order for this to be a warranty claim, they needed to have it "verified" by a "certified " water/leak specialist. That the whole process would take about 3-weeks. Oh... but that they didn't have one of these specialists in house or a relationship with one out of house. The gal at the service desk even said, "I just deal with mine (leak) and try to seal it myself." Damn. If even the employees of the place servicing don't want to deal with FCA, that says something.

I don't get it. Build date of 4/21, less than 19k miles on this thing, and I can "verify/validate" the leak with a bucket of water and less than 2-minutes, documenting with photos. Just nuts. 2-days. And that's just to start the damn claim. *frustrated*

Oh, and the hack of adding the additional external seal shown and used by others on this thread is happening as soon as I can pick some up. Fingers crossed I have the same success as others!

Hey @JeepCares, what kind of certified expert is needed tell Jeeps warranty department that this is really a leaky window? I mean, I’m not certified, but sitting here in my Gladiator waiting for my kid I look and it sure seems like a leak to me!

My 2021 is leaking. Built last summer. I don't know how long it's been leaking. We didn't get much rain this summer and I park inside at home.

I didn't notice it was leaking until my 11 year old asked me why his neck was getting wet every time I made a left turn.

I'll probably try to fix it myself if it gets too bad.

Reluctantly add me into the rear window leak club. Been a dry summer and it now just began to rain here in the PNW and I noticed some water Weds. confirmed it today after last nights rain. Earliest appointment w/ the dealer is middle of Nov.

Disappointingly I have to remove my RLD canopy before they’ll work on it.

Hopefully this will not be a long drawn out drama.

Update — Pulled the interior widow trim back and found the water was weeping in at the folded metal tab 6” from the corner of the window. The water eventually wicks along the upper window frame and drips above the slider as well.

Laid a couple coats of flowable 81730 silicone from the exterior. No more leak.

Poor design or poor installation process. Maybe both.

Hopefully this takes care of it.

I didn’t read all 41 pages of comments….

When I had a hard top, I ran a bead of clear silicone around the window on the outside and never had a leak.
