:headbang:
Got my Gladiator back from the dealership Friday as it was in for a the rear window replacement. Luckily I had been smart enough to check the area prior to obtaining my keys and noticed several scratches and gouges along with some black material/paint (?) that looks to be trying to conceal more scratches. Service manager walked it down with me and obtained several photos and was to reach back out to the glass company to see what the next steps are.

Needless to say I'm pretty disappointed and nervous that whatever they do next will just do more harm than good.

Looks like it was replaced by a bunch of 2nd graders, what's so difficult about taping the perimiter before starting? Jeez!
Exactly! I'd be super pissed if my new truck came back like this. Sounds like the dealer needs to either have a serious chat with the glass company and tell them to get their crap together or find another company that takes a little pride in their work. To even think that repair/paint touch up is even close to acceptable is a joke.

For those who still need have their rear glass repaired: make sure to take lots of pictures and tell the dealer in advance that you expect it to look as good as new when it comes back or they will be fixing it to your satisfaction or replacing the top.

Couldn't agree more, always have plenty of before photos, even photos of areas not expected to be affected by the repair just in case......

Already is...Mine was diagnosed and ordered in mid November, latest estimate is end of December. Of course they have plenty of glass to build new ones every day...

Took mine in for a service today, asked them to check the back glass for I saw some water where the bluetooth speaker goes...

they called me back and confirmed it was leaking from the top part, the dealer took pics and sent them to Jeep.

they informed me they just had to do this to another gladiator not long ago and multiple 2019 Rams.

I was also told that the gladiator back glass took 2 months to arrive after Jeep FINALLY approved.

Update...first trip to dealer they couldn’t find the leak:facepalm:

Last week I took it in during a rainstorm to show them the leak and they had me bring it back for diagnosis today. The pulled the upper trim price and found the leak at the window (shocker) and started the FCA approval process to get me a new window. They also ordered the upper trim piece as they managed to break it in the process:facepalm::facepalm:

I’m assuming this will be at least after Thanksgiving at this point.
Update #2...got a call yesterday the glass was in, so about 5 weeks from diagnosis for glass to arrive. He called the glass shop and they said they could do it today, so I dropped it off this morning. About 12:00 I get a call that said they ran into an issue, so clearly my heart sank. Turns out the shop they usually use either didn’t know how or had the proper equipment to cut it out, so they couldn’t do it. He had to call a second glass shop, so now it goes back Monday to try again. Maybe the 4th time will be the charm ?

Has anyone fitted in extra rubber or sealant to tuck in behind the top part of the glass ? Would that help as a "quick" fix to prevent water intrusion

I used silicone and it helped stop the leak as a temporary fix
