Here are the dimensions for each of the racks you've asked about for the Gladiator:
Drop Rack L = 51.18" W = 51.18" H = 5.51"
Platform Rack L = 51.18" W = 53.94" H = 2.00"
Roller Rack L = 67.32" W = 53.94" H = 2.00"
Are the crossbars on the commercial version spaced apart the same as in the full with the exeption of the center roller? If not how many crossbars are there and how far apart from each other?(good guess, no need to be specific on this) TIA

Are these worth the price tag? I have the softopper and bed cage and Ive not been super happy with the softopper. They sure look nice but im also short so Im not sure I could even reach in the side windows if I wanted to. :CWL:
I think it is worth it. I like how the side windows pop up so that I can reach in and get things, almost as easy as an open bed. I liked the soft tri-fold tonneau cover, but the SmartCap is much better.

Hard to say if it is worth it.
They are expensive and quite frankly there are a couple of SMALL issue RSI should remedy for those of us that were early adopters. These include the need to find our own spacers to install correctly or worn weather stripping and the leaky gooey latch seals.
That being said I really like the security and functionality of the unit.
I do think my Jt rides significantly different with the topper on. It has a lot more body roll.. I have already replaced the sway bar. I may need to add heavier shocks or adjustable shocks.
So far it is worth it to me.

I like mine a lot, but I would wait until they make locks/latches that allow for opening from the inside.

OK I don't want to go through 70 pages. Lol. Is the "commercial" version available? Is it really $1,600? Anybody got a link?

From page 1 of this thread:

"Talked to these guys at SEMA. The smartcap with and without windows will be available January for the gladiator. The bed conversion around spring. Spendy, but absolutely flawless. 3800ish for the window version, 1600ish for the commercial version. Bed replacement around 5900 and then if you want the full shell over that another 5900."

Thanks for the response. For $3,100+ this cap is an instant "hell no" for me. But I appreciate it.

The Roller Rack (which you referred to as the commercial version) has 7 load bars, and the Platform Rack has 5 load bars. On both racks they are spaced 202 mm or 7.95 in. apart.

So this worked out pretty well. I was able to put my topper back on my truck pretty much by myself. This topper is heavy! The stable mat spacers worked out pretty well. I did add the 1/8-in spacers to the backside. Once I got it all clamped down I think it needs another eighth inch just in the back

Love the info here! Thanks, everyone.

I've an SmartCap EVO order in at my local shop but note that many of you have stated the weight of the cap is ca. 169-170-lbs assembled. RSI is listing the Gladiator version as Packaged - 155.5-lbs, Assembled - 115.5-lbs. 50+ lbs is a massive disparity. I get being off by 10-lbs or so, but good grief. Has anyone gotten any clarification from RSI on this? I've used the contact form on the website and messaged them directly with no response. The low weight was a reason I chose RSI.

Thanks very much for pointing out this info. In our haste to get this information out, our team calculated the metric info incorrectly. The actual weight of the Gladiator SmartCap is approximately 165 lbs. We have taken down the specification information temporarily, as we work to be certain all info is correct. Thanks again for your help.

Update... Still loving the topper and functionally it does everything I thought it would.

I have a leak though and I think it is related to the seal and leaking glue everyone is experiencing. I did have the leaking latches like everyone else, they seemed to resolve themselves and no longer leak. Now I have noticed glue leaking from the mating surfaces between the front and rear panels and the roof panel. Glue has steadily dripped out of that area with the hotter temps and now water is slowly making its way through.

@RSI North America Inc I have submitted a warranty request just now. I hope to get a response that a replacement seal can be shipped.
Have you heard back from RSI on the glue drip and leak issue? I’ve noticed this on mine as well.
