In the user manual it states that the Jeep Gladiator’s engine speed is approximately 3 times that of 2H or 4H when in 4L, but 4 times for the Rubicon.

Why?

Sport and Overland have 2.72:1 low range in the transfer case. Rubicons have 4:1 gearing in low range.

Ah. Different from the 4:10 they both have (option for Sport) in high range?

Makes sense, I couldnt find gear specs

The 4.10 is the axle gearing. The 4:1 is the transfer case gear ratio. So both sport max tow and Rubicon have the same axle ratio they use a different transfer case.

Because Rubicon is a purpose-built Jeep - it's assumed it's going to need that LOW gearing in the transfer case in 4L for rock crawling and really steep inclines and narrow passes. It can also inch itself down a steep incline keeping engine speed up for power and torque.
It could probably pull your house off its foundation.
