Did you feel or hear a difference?
The stock intake is loud. Sounds like Darth Vader. With the snorkel and seal removed it's quieter, somewhat. Didn't feel much difference in power, but I'd wager that on a dyno you'd see a few horsepower.

AFE advertises 39 lb/ft gain with their intake kit alone.

So, would this CAI be compatible with the hood scoop and can the lower intake be closed off to allow for water fording clearance??
would love to have both options, one for towing and one for wheeling!!
Seems like a functional hood scoop would be a great addition to a CAI.
of course the combination costs an ??

The reviews on the S&B site look promising around engine temp drops in intake temp drops. Wish a Diesel JT version would finally drop.

Im curious as to why this doesnt fit the JT? The engine compartments are nearly identical. $350 is nice to see

the ram air channel from the scoop to the air box is designed for the passenger side intake on the gas motors. It might work, but we really need the mirror image for the diesel. Not sure if the intake box is exactly the same as the gas either. Seems like it would sell well if they made it.

They do make a diesel version…. Just unsure why they say Wrangler only. Anything related to the 3.6 gas motor will absolutely not fit.

I reached out to them early November inquiring if their wrangler EcoD (75-5145) intake would fit, thinking perhaps it was just a matter of the site not having been updated. They originally responded with a late Dec. ETA on Gladiator EcoD support, saying they were wrapping up testing. I followed up again early last week. Their response was that they were in the final stages and intend on releasing soon.

I've been keeping an eye on the development for months though and I suspect the EcoD platform on the Jeep, in general, is what they are testing and that they soft launched the wrangler product pages just to draw early interest but haven't actually released the wrangler's intake either. I've been unable to find so much as a prototype in the wild. I now believe they will release both simultaneously in the coming weeks.

I emailed S&B this week to get an update on if they were planning to release something specific for the JT diesel, and they responded that part: 75-5145 will fit the JTD. I pushed back, and they escalated it to a tech who came back again that it will absolutely fit the JTD.

I’m personally still really torn between getting the aFe or this S&B filter. Anybody crazy enough to try both yet?

I had asked last year about this, the page has been up for awhile and I added myself to the "notify me when ready" list but haven't heard anything. I too assume this would work but like AFE's Momentum HD, the latest production model is nearly impossible to come by.

I'm after the turbo sound and so far I could not find anyone with these so I can compare.

K&N lets more dirt through than almost any other filter and has the least capacity to hold dirt over time. My last choice.
