I am looking to install a sector shaft brace in hopes to improve steering. I wanted to find out if anyone had experience with either Synergy or Steer Smart and if so, which one would they recommend.

It appears that Steer smart might be little bit harder to install compared to Synergy.

I have yet to install one but if I had to choose, I would go with Steer Smarts.

I am happy with my Synergy as well. It does need a half pump of grease from the grease in at oil changes though or else it makes slight noise.

I had Synergy on my JKUR and loved it! Don't feel the need yet on my Gladiator. When I do, I will lean towards the Synergy again.

I bought the Synergy, I have a diesel and after taking the steering box off I realized it wouldn't fit because of the coil bucket gusset. I put it back together and called Synergy the next day. The tech said to trim the bottom of the gusset the same way you would with the Steer smart. I did, I pulled the box and it won't fit unless you completely remove the gusset. I returned it and ordered the Steer smart. Just fyi if you gave the gusset.

I ended up going with Steer smart after research.

Resurrecting this thread... @rezar1: now that you've had yours for almost a year, any feedback? I just installed mine and went for a test drive and was not impressed. But, hoping maybe more time behind the wheel in different situations may prove otherwise?

I bought the Steer Smarts - also has the track bar relocation built in. My track bar (in red) and drag link are almost identical now. Hoping maybe I can feel that on the hwy when hitting potholes at 75 MPH :)

But so far (with a limit test drive) I don't "feel" any difference in stiffness. I was hoping it would help alleviate some of the soft feel due to the frame flex issue that's been well documented here and on the JL site.

I'll give it some more time, but was curious of other's experience and long-term reviews.

To be honest, no. I don’t feel any major difference. I installed it along with several upgrades so I can’t tell what’s attributing to what. I think the peace of mind was probably worth it but ride wise, maybe not so much.

Appreciate the feedback! I am running 37's so, worst case, I am hoping it helps save my steering gear with larger tires when on the trails.

Thats what I ended up with as well along with Clayton 3.5 lifts and Falcon Adapt shocks. I also installed a falcon stabilizer and Rockjock steering system.

Bringing it back to life again.
So I see that the synergy has gussets all the way down the back side. While Steer smarts does not. (Potential weak point) and as @MrT said the diesel is an issue. I as well have the diesel. So back to the question of which is a better set up. I do like the Meatalcloak one. Easy install but it doesn't address the flexing point on the track bar bracket. Which I believe is an issue. Look at the top of the weld. Paint cracking and a line of rust forming = flexing point.
