This is true! I think i can swing it with my boss, he is a jeep guy.
I survived driving a '96 soft top 2 door Wrangler 2500 miles round trip in a week just for a girl back in the day....

You got this, you'll be doing less than that in your brand new truck!! Road Trip!!!

I got over $8k off MSRP with a dealer in atlanta but that's for a custom order. So it would definitely be worth your time to order from out of state and ship it. Even ask the dealer if they can set it up for you. Expect $2k or more in shipping it though.

If your just trying to figure price an average cost per mile is $2.00, if you get a good deal you'll be down just above a buck/mile. I have a guy I have used many times if you want he'll get you a quote over the phone, just tell him the zip codes to and from. Phil @ Rightway Transport. 954-369-4523.

Thank You for giving me some companies to consider and get prices from.
They are the best in the business for sure. You can’t go wrong with them. A lot of people are suggesting a road trip. I love a road trip just as much as the next guy, but I don’t know if I would do it in a Gladiator. In my one week of owning my Mojave, I have quickly discovered she is not a highway cruiser. You have to put in a lot of effort to keep her going straight and maintaining speed. However, the gladiators uniqueness makes up for its deficiencies.

In a similar situation but easier part of the country than you. Only 10 hrs away directly north of Gupton, is $850 to have it shipped to me, but the flight is only 125 and diesel for the way home would be even cheaper than that. Leaning towards driving at this point

Intercity is the best hands down, I have used them multiple times, you will pay more but will not be disappointed.

Well I know politics aren’t allowed for some reason on a forum full of grown men and women so I’ll tread lightly here. Because of a certain somebody over half of current government employees will be losing their jobs in the near future. Me being DoD will be one of them. In my shop of 16 former or retired Marines five have been poked. Most of them due to caring for their elderly parents or having someone in the household with underlying risks.
So being as old as I am I will not be seeking a new career, or even looking to be your greeter at Home Depot or Walmart. Which leads me to considering pimping myself out to fly into Nashville and driving Gladiators back out west for those who don’t have free or spare time. Not sure how much of a market there is for such a service but from the sounds of it on this forum there is some. Just something I’d consider that would be another option verses shipping. I’ll dig in to particulars and see what all is entailed as far as insurance is concerned.

Considering this too if the plane ticket and time off work will offset shipping costs.
I found spirit one way for less than $35 and picked the day accordingly to fly in to TN (from BWI); Gupton gladly picked me up from the airport and I stayed/drove through Smokies on drive back home!

Thanks its greatly appreciated.
Reached out and he came back and said they are not offering anything but invoice. Don't forget tread lightly discount 1% and if you finance through Jeep you might get another 1% off. Plus whatever else you can negotiate. Good luck.

I used Intercity when I bought my new corvette in 2019. It was a great experience. Not cheap, but in regards to shipping cars, you get what you pay for.

This is a pretty cool idea really. Maybe Gupton would hire you directly. But I also think manufacturers may see the writing on the wall a little bit and realize that the Gupton model (or the Tesla model, really) is the future, and it will soon be easier to find those kinds of dealers and deals.

Since you are in SoCal, I'd recommend you contact Rob at Tuttle Click and see what he can do for you. He gave me 4 or 5% off invoice earlier this year before all the madness.....

When you get back from your trip, you will need to do a VIN verification and smog if you buy out of state. I'm not sure if you will be smog exempt for the 5 model year rule if you bring a used vehicle into the state either.

I can't imagine it being worth all the hassle to save $2k by buying half way across the country.

Rob is only doing 2% right now and that is with financing. A $61,000 vehicle for $53,000 is a little more than a $2,000 savings.
Rob says he can no longer do the 4% due to the market. Wonder why the market didn’t affect Daniel and Elliott?
