People Work?
I really don’t plan on doing a lot of modifications but high shipping rates will probably slow down the pace at which i purchase especially since the same dealer had priced front and rear bumpers to another customer only to find out there was a $425 shipping fee added.

These rates hurt manufacturers, little dealers and the end consumer alike so hopefully we will see relief sometime in the future, hopefully.

I guess it'll get better when UPS and FedEx get all electric delivery trucks ?

I ordered my rock-hard sliders back in May of 2020. The sliders were $649 and the shipping was about $18. Taxes and all $711 to my doorstep.

No. I'm afraid to look. Reindeer?
Nah. Couldn't be that. They pollute way more than a 20,000 pound EV box van, with their alfalfa farts.
They are telling their people "park your EVs unless absolutely necessary to drive them" because of the lack of electricity and fear of blackouts this winter.

I don't how shipping stuff domestically is $$$$$$, while dudes in China are shipping those eBay bumpers for free... it probably costs them like $12 to make the things.

Maybe I should have sent the reindeer and sleigh to pick them up and you are correct in saying reindeer put out some nasty exhaust emissions ???

Meh, they're pinch seem mounted and they dont stick out very far, any off camber action while needing a slider and you'll eat the body. The rockhard are in a whole different league of protection and also act as a step.
agree to disagree. Im regularly wheeling and have absolutely beat my sliders to shit and have zero body damage.

the bigger and further they stick out the more you're gonna get hung up.

if youre not actualy wheeling and want protection from door dings in parking lots and that extra "look at me" then by all means.

When I was shopping earlier this year hard rock had a shipping charge but northridge4x4 did not. Northridge also had a forum discount, so I purchased it from them with free shipping in March of this year.

I ordered Rock Hard sliders November 23 from my local dealer and they called today and said RockHard wants to add $300 to ship them.
Retail is $900 so that ups my cost 33% to $1,200 WOW I no longer think that I need them at that price!

Check shipping cost before purchasing!!!!

Anybody else run into this?
Ordered through Quadratec and shipping was FREE !
They have to ship freight with a lift. They are in huge boxes strapped down to pallets.
You wont be disappointed, they are absolutely the best imo.

That is simply untrue and reeks of some "news story" you saw on facebook. There are some legitimate questions about the transition to EV, so weird it instead always turns into a circlejerk of lies and disinformation...

Nope, it was a true story and not on fakebook. They are concerned of the ability to support charging all of those EVs in the middle of winter.
You'd better do some reading...........
The news services are making headlines with "worst case" bits, but they are looking at curbing electric use in phases and it could impact EV charging.
It's possible there would be zero restrictions - but because the Swiss don't generate ALL of their own electricity, and with the world being as it is over there, they are prepared just in case and that just in case includes curtailing unnecessary use of EVs in event of winter emergency. Russia's war, winter coming, the huge increase of EVs in the area, who knows about the power generating capability coming out of the Alps and so on.

So, tell me - Reuters and Yahoo are lying?

Makes it sound less certain - but it's very possible it could be reality in the event of a harsh winter there.

So where is YOUR source saying I'm reading fakebook bullcrap?

I tend to research such things before posting it because I know how things go on the web. But my comments were based on true mainstream media, real news and reading of the proposed rules.
Apparently, even Reuters and the auto lobby saw the same things I did.

I'm the one here who usually fights bad information, misinformation. Apparently you don't know me very well.

Am I missing something or is it not just a draft in their legislation right now? Could be interesting if it becomes law there.
