Should I wait for my JTR diesel order or get a used 2021?

I ordered a 2023 Sarge Green Rubicon ecodiesel back on March 28th and got the Scheduled notice on April 11th. The best I've been able to determine is that the HPFP fix won't be available until September if not later. Should I keep waiting or get this 2021 Firecracker Red JTR diesel for $53,500 with 17,675 mi. ? It appears to have all the bells and whistles I had ordered plus a winch!

I would wait. Whoever unloaded that one may have been worried about the fuel pump blowing up.

I’m debating the same thing. I wonder that if I cancel my diesel JT order, will Jeep still build it anyway? Or will they stop the build before it starts?

Having been through the HPFP failure I would wait and see if it gets built and delivered to the dealership. Once a real solution is available your new vehicle will be retrofitted with the fix.

Other option is to pick up a used model with low miles in anticipation of the solution coming through in the next 6 months. The recall will have to be applied regardless of mileage.

If the deal is good enough and has the options you want, go for it. I plan to pick up another JTRD once the fix has been rolled out.

I opted to buy used with 20,000 miles on it. Great condition plus it already had the Clayton lift I wanted. When I finally decided to get one it was after the stop order. Time will tell if I made the correct decision.

My timing for looking at other options turned out to be fortuitous. My other vehicle decided it needed to pass to another realm. I am now the happy owner of the 2021 Rubicon Gladiator I posted pictures of. I've had it for almost a week and look forward to Jeeping with my friends!

I'll be one of the few to say the 21'.. Considering the current political landscape, a Diesel is the last thing I would be buying. Especially since this is their last production year
