I have the Rock Hard angled up. They are really nice, have clean lines, and can function as a step - but I would say they are definitely a rock slider first and a step second.

I know they’re popular, but I’m not a fan of the ACE Engineering ones. To me they look like an afterthought that is appended under the OEM rubicon rails - versus a direct replacement like the Rock Hard rails.

And they cover the pinch seam well.

Whatever you do, make sure you get frame-mounted sliders if you plan to do any seriously wheeling/crawling. I have ACE sliders on my 2016 JKUR and because they are mounted using the body mount bolts, they can actually flex; so the first "real" hit they took, they flexed up and bent my tub.

I learned that hard lesson and now these are what I have on my 2020 JTR and my wife's 2018 JKUR. These are pure American BEEF and worth every penny (sorry, but pics are from the JKUR, guess I didn't take any of the JTR):

Those are badass! Officially on my "want" list.

Is that lower piece part of the slider or an extra?

It was an extra...I'm not sure how much I truly like it because it is a harborage for mud and rock.

Don't know what to tell you. When I bought the sliders for my JT, they weren't available (just before COVID) but they said they were planning them. Maybe something changed. Send them an email.

I've run for 2 years without them and, as I said, my wife's fill up with mud and rocks. I actually now prefer them without the boatside panels...

Samson has a set of @ACE Engineering rock sliders. I really like the look and my wife really likes having a step to get into the JT!

The Ace Engineering Rock Sliders stick out about 4-inches and make a perfect step up into the JT!

I like the fact that they mount using the frame bolts not the pinch weld area. This allows me to keep the original sliders delivered with the Rubicon. Helps when I accidentally kick the rock rail and not side of the JT. Plus I just like the look. Very functional, I have slide them on rocks. Got home, a little sanding and fresh spray of Steel-It - looks good as new.

The Paramount Automotive Gen2 rock sliders are a unique solution that fit my needs:
- Frame-mounted, full-length rock sliders
- Work as a running board
- Different heights for adults in the front and toddlers in the back
- A stainless steel look that matched the Mojave's front skid plate

I like these a lot but I've been concerned by any of these split designs that the center split would cause a hang-up spot. What I mean is, when sliding across a rock, the split would cause a spot to get stuck as opposed to a seamless path. But this is all just theoretical in my head, any real-world experience with this?
