Keep in mind that the Sirius satellites are due south, orbiting roughly over the equator, from what I've read. If you have any obstruction to the south, for example driving by a building too closely, it will kill the reception until you get further away and can pick up the satellite signal again. When you have issues, you might see if you're obstructed in that direction.

Can”t say I’ve witnessed any worse performance with satellite radio operation compared to my other two vehicles. I use Sirius religiously and the only cutout is when I lose line of sight in specific areas which is the case with all my vehicles. Other than that it’s pretty solid for me.

HH owner here, the one SA strip that would affect the antenna is shorter than the other SA strips by design. I have not had any issues.

It's been roughly 1.5 yrs since I installed HH so maybe they changed their instructions.
Same here. No issues. Just thought I’d ask the OP.

Could be an issue with your antenna. I had it on my three previous vehicles and had no issues. It would only cut out in car washes, my garage and very rarely certain gas stations.

compared to my old JKUR, the reception in the JTR is worse. It regularly cuts out with minimal tree cover and will "stutter" even in open terrain. The stutter isn't constant, but disappointing.

Did this fix the fact that it was too quiet or the issue with the spotty reception?
Audio being too quiet. This was on an F150, ymmv…

The only thing more worse that spotty reception is when Sirius has your phone number. They have called me every day for the past 4 weeks asking to renew. It pisses me off that they use local phone numbers too.
Best thing to do is never ever answer a call that is not already on your contact list. Then block those numbers later on when your bored. If it is important they will leave a message.

This! I never answer numbers I don't know. I always get a kick watching people get a call, not recognize the number, answer it, get annoyed and then hang up. Just don't answer.

Works great for me in my '21 Gladi. It cuts out in all the same places it did in my JK and that is does in the wife's '19 Subaru Forester Touring. And I have a stubby antenna and no issues with the regular radio either .

Radio antenna and satellite antenna are completely separate. "Stubby" will only affect AM/FM.
You are correct. I hit submit before adding...And I have stubby antenna "and no issues with the regular radio either."

FYI: I have made a second pot of coffee now. ;)
