I think you get it or you don’t. I drove one for the first time this past weekend and it put a smile on my face (looking at purchasing next weekend). Personally…I don’t want another full-size truck at the moment. I routinely tow 2,500 lbs or so and would like to be able to stretch that to 5,000 lbs or so. This would be perfect for that.

As far as why I can see someone (i.e. Myself) being interested in one…you get classic Jeep aesthetics, the utility of a pickup truck bed, a towing capacity that is useful for more than hauling around a basic utility trailer, and for someone like me (had an XJ years ago) you get somewhat of a throwback vehicle (the solid front axle).

At the end of the day though, trucks are…in general…pricey for what the average person will be using them for (getting groceries and hitting up the Starbucks drive-thru for a latte). That coming from someone that currently drives a Subaru Outback.?

I just traded in my 2018 Ram Rebel 1500. I loved that truck as it was comfortable and it is quick. It was time to downsize and I missed having a Jeep. Perviously own a 1997 TJ and 2008 JK. My new 2022 JT is good on the highway and ready for light off roading.

My cousin just got himself a Ram Rebel. Really nice truck, and would probably be a frontrunner if I were in the market for another full-size.
