Did the aux delete, used Tazer mini to perm disable ESS.
Pulled fuse 42.
ESS Avengers button stays lighted all the time(off), good.
What happens if I push the ESS button now? Does it reactivate ESS without the aux battery or what?

Copy. Is it an issue? Like can it cause issues? Asking as I had someone driving the other day and they inadvertently hit the ESS off button.
Just asking if it can cause an issue without the aux batt connected.

Tazer did not disable ESS. It allows ESS to remain in the last state that you have selected on future restarts. Push the button ESS will/should work. If not, you have an issue and not related to the aux battery. Assuming you deleted the aux correctly and just not pulling f42.

What was your reason for wanting to delete the Aux battery? If you're asking about the ESS off light I'm guessing you are not up to speed on how this all works. Be careful!

Iam guessing it's because he wants to eliminate more hassle and maintenance for a function he doesn't use or need.

Most likely! The issue of guessing your problem is the Aux battery and deleting without the knowledge of how the system works could lead to bigger issues if steps are ignored or mistakes are made. The OP could have had an issue not even related to ESS or the batteries.

Preventative butchery of removing a good aux and leaving a weak main is not good practice. At least test both so you know what is going on, and maybe start out with a full charge on the solo main. Who knows!

What hassle and maintenance? Seriously asking.
Unless you swap to a much larger capacity main battery, you are removing some of the total battery capacity by disconnecting the auxiliary battery.
Gee, I've owned at least 5 Jeeps with ESS and the second battery and have yet to see any added hassle or maintenance. No more maintenance than any other system.

Having ESS on without the aux battery can cause a voltage drop during ESS events that might trigger your computers to reboot, essentially leaving you stuck in traffic until you can completely restart the truck.

Long story short, don’t turn on ESS if you don’t have both batteries. Might it work just fine? Yes. But now you run the risk of getting stuck.

Right, sure. "Because the internet says so" and "because people who have no idea how electrical systems or batteries say so".
Yup.
Bet you'd be surprised with an honest poll.

I'm not a fan of ESS and I don't use it. I use Tazer to keep it off. I don't travel to areas where I would sit in traffic. Sure, I wish it wasn't there, but it is. I keep ESS available because I can. Some people just get defeated trying to understand how it works so they "delete" it. Because they don't understand it, they hate it.
