My wife has the hots for a Lance 1575. https://www.lancecamper.com/travel-trailers/1575/ (Edit added link)

She saw one here a week ago and it will actually work on her Cherokee Elite package also. She wants to go with friends that camp. But it is perfect for the Gladiator and shouldn't tax it at all and it has the tortion axle suspension so a little height and very well made. Her primary requirement was a "dry bath."

I was impressed by the quality compared to our Aspen Trail 2340 we use on long trips with the Ram 2500. I bought it so she would have to buy this...I say with fingers crossed. In looking at this, it may be the most efficient use of space in a small package I've ever seen. The slide out dinette makes into a full bed at night. Lot's o storage...
We all know the answer - happy wife, happy life!!!!
Looks like a nice one.

We're towing an old @ss Trail Manor 2720. I think loaded with all the camp gear I gotta be right around 4K lbs. It sits the Gladiator down in the rear a bit but it still felt good and strong on the road. Heading up the mountains towards Mt Lassen / Hat Creek area was working it pretty good, maxed out at 52mph on some of the steep ones. I have questions for another thread about that and fluid temps if some one wants to link the preferred thread to discuss those.
Anyway first time towing with the Gladiator and was fairly impressed. My other tow rig is a 6.0 F250.

Bad photo, but all I have at the moment.

Get a weight distributing hitch on that setup and you will notice a big improvement, handling will be better, sag will go away and trailer will be level which is where they need to be, nice Glady by the way!….Jack

Absolutely needs a WDH - look at the tail sag, headlights in the sky which means a really light steering axle. Trailer needs to sit level like you said. Wonder what the tongue weight is as well.

Bill, that trailer manor is pretty cool, about 3,000 dry weight and 300-400 pound hitch weight, it is huge inside when opened up really a great fit for a Glady RCA JT!

Thanks Guys. I wasn't sure it was going to be able to tote it since I read the rating of the Jeep is only about 4 thousand, though it did it so now I will invest in the WDH.
I aimed the headlights WAY down right after I got the Jeep. Just with the small lift and 38s I was getting flashed constantly. Surprisingly didn't get it once while towing, musta done it enough.
At some point I'll post an intro thread and post some better pics of "The Brute"

Thanks again for the positive responses and suggestions vs trying to burn a guy for not doing it perfect. I don't tow often, but will be in the future.

Nice off-road trailer Spud!
Simplicity and functionality, done well.
I've been wanting to get a lifted trailer and pull off the RTT to save weight and fuel on the other 28 days of the month that I'm not using it.

I feel you. Honestly, the reason for welding up this particular trailer was that I was lazy. I decided that the main hurdle for us getting out and exploring more often was how much I hated all the preparation before a trip, set up/take down while there, and then storing all the equipment once we returned. Now I just set a course to somewhere in the national forest, hook up the always-ready trailer, and then enjoy being the first guy with a whiskey while everyone else is setting up camp.

My 2020 JTR with 37" pulling our new Puma 20MBC. I wasn't sold on the idea of a murphy bed, but very happy my wife talked me into it. Our last camper just had the solid bed, with a family of four there just isn't space in the dinette to hang out. Really nice on those rain days to have a couch to chill on.

Longest trip has been from the dealer home, then back to the dealer to change out the water pump under warranty. That's about 75 miles south. Tows with no issues. Most of our camping spots are 15-45 minutes away

Me plus the wife plus a new born and a 2 year, so I’m looking at something with a bunk in the back with 1 slide.

It’s not going to be a full time tow. We plan on selling the house and moving but don’t want to settle with a house yet.

Yeah I have a curt brake controller already and WDH, just looking for the right one.

I LOVE my Sonic SN220VRB. Very similar in weight and length. I also love the outdoor kitchen on mine. Like @irish_love, I really do like the Murphy bed as if needed, you can fold it up and have another seating area. Haven't needed to fold it up as it's just me and the Bride.

My Overland handles it very nicely. Still stone stock. Will be getting new sneakers for it, probably this spring. It's still got the factory tires with about 35.5K on them. Will probably go just one size wider....factory is 255, looking to go 265. My Gladiator, ordered 5/19, delivered 7/19. Retired, hence the lowish miles :) :) :)

The outdoor kitchen was a must have for me. I had three must haves, outdoor kitchen, full size bunks, and under 5k dry weight. I really love that my kitchen has the sink along with the Blackstone. It has a mini fridge also, but it's 110v. We mostly boondock, so I'm not hooked up to shore power. Been thinking about running an inverter to keep it running. Hopefully the solar would be enough to keep the battery charged.
