Is anyone using the anderson weight distribution hitch with built in sway control? It is lighter than most wdh systems yet i do not see many using them on this sight.
I would think the reduced weight would help with payload.
Do they just not work well?
We have the anderson for a casita we just bought. It works great and there is no sway at all. We are selling the casita and going to a r pod for just a bit more room and will be getting an anderson for this trailer as well.

The Anderson is definitely a wdh I REALLY want. I just don’t really grasp how it works.

Watch their videos, they are great. Really easy to hitch up and no issues with backing up or tight turns. The shaft for the ball rides against a friction material to eliminate sway, you do not grease the ball for an Andersen hitch. Tighten the chains to distribute the weight and the elastomers help eliminating porpusing.

Picked up my new NoBo 19.8 today. It was crazy windy and the 150 mile trip home was pretty tense. Ended up having to keep it at 65 or under the whole way. That was kind of rough on the 75 mph interstate in Texas that no one goes under 90 on. Averaged 8 mpg. Will be looking into sway control hitch.

Do you have a long term review of this trailer and trailer/truck setup? I am looking to purchase one tmrw and was wondering how both did over the long haul. Have you made any changes to the truck?

If you have the bars type WDH it will be noisy on slower tight turns. It’s a friction design. So those bars are sliding against the arms that hold them. I was surprised and embarrassed when I first had mine and was driving through an RV park.

Yeah, it's... Alarming. Especially at low speeds with windows open, but yeah, it's normal. As for the bar angle, how many washers are you running in the head? I'd consider dropping the L brackets on the trailer one notch and adding a washer or two to the head to get your weight distribution back. Been considering doing this to mine, actually. I set it up by the book, and my bars are a little high, too. I feel like more parallel would give better contact patch.

So I had a weird braking issue on the way home which I am trying to troubleshoot.

Seems like my 7pin harness is not getting power when I hit the brakes. I had to manually brake my trailer brakes via the app and o shit button. In researching this, I found that there are 2 20 amp fuses that control that and one of them is blown.
sadly those are a weird skinny size which I do not have spares for. So I have to get some.
Hopefully its that simple

Has anyone else run into something like this?
My Curt Echo not only blew the fuse but shorted out to the point smoke was emitting from the device insert. Needless to say it was promptly replaced with something else and I had no issues over the weekend towing to the lake.

I sold my Bronco and had to buy something to keep the money from burning a hole in my pocket so I found this 2020 KRX with only 21 miles on it.
