My last week update let me scheduled a date/time.
Just got the prompt on Saturday, scheduled it for that night. Didn’t notice a difference, so I have no idea what the changes are.

You'll never know. It's often like updates to Windows or some other OS - security fixes, bug fixes, enhancements to reliability, speed, whatever. You are extremely UNlikely to ever know what the update is or does.

Being a 2023, you probably have the last known update. I would suggest making a dealer warranty visit for your concern and have them check it and update if needed.

As mention in this thread, there is only two ways to get the OS update if one is available and not make it a dealer visit. Either wait for the OTA or buy the Navigation update and "hope" it includes a USB to update it. The Uconnect website has not released a USB downloadable file nor is there a way to force a OTA early.

What's the build date of your 2023?
If it's on or before November 23, 2022 (MDH 1123XX), then there's a TSB out there and you may need an update.

Just a note about a dealer update and I'm not trying to scare you. My dealer tried to update my radio for poor microphone output. Ended up bricking the radio and had to get a replacement radio. I didn't say a new replacement radio either. That turned into another fiasco with XM satellite radio.

Replacement radios aren't new, so no need to specify. Replacements are remanufactured.

You can see if an update is available. Check your software revision in the radio and go to the uConnect web site , go to the software update page and put in your VIN. After that, if an update is available, they will tell you what to do.

However, if's it is new, have the dealer do it incase of any issues that might happen.

I think I seed a software update, but I don't want to go to my dealership. The uConnect website says my VIN doesn't have an update available, but I'm sure its wrong, because in dealer mode I was able to find that my software versions is: 19.11.4d

Is there any way to force the update myself? Or am I stuck taking my truck to my untrustworthy dealership? I've had my 2020 JTR for over 4 years now, so I am out of warranty. Massive lag in my 8.4" screen, even a volume adjustment lags for 15-30 seconds. Everything that goes through the screen is extremely laggy. But I would like to avoid an expensive screen replacement...

You have only two options for an update, since the Uconnect website shows no update available.
1. Take it to the dealer and have them see if the system shows an available update they can install.
2. Order a Map Update. They require the version information as part of the order. If needed, they provide a Uconnect update to install before the Map Update is done.

So my 21 truck went in for warranty service and came out with updated software. Version unknown but must be the latest. 8' screen and the first clue was the touch buttons at the bottom now seem to have a heavier outline that wasn't there before? Will the outline make better, stronger, faster? :) I haven't dug through the menus yet and never checked the Nav since I don't use it. Warranty was part 68301864AA Seal Kit-A/C And Heater Unit. Air wasn't being directed correctly and my ESS has never worked (used) and the culprit seems to be a dead Aux battery. I am assuming somewhere along the line the dealer decided it needed the update.
