When I had my 2006 TJ I cut a piece of foam insulation to fit above the roll bar, between jt and the soft top. Covered it with a heavy black fabric. Made the interior so much cooler. Pain in the butt to deal with when dropping the top if you’re anywhere but home (where you can store it).

This may have swayed me to get the windshield done before I leave.

I remember drive through Kansas last July. The sun just hurt…
I have 20% on all windows and 50% ceramic on the windshield. It’s amazing. Don’t even really need sunglasses. Windshield isn’t super noticeable, like a coat of dust haha. I highly recommend it.

I had them match the tint on the front windows to what was on the back but I am pretty sure I got the highest blocking ceramic they offered.

And even if it makes half a difference from that, doing it on the windshield, would be a massive upgrade!

Between that hot head liners, the insulation on the floorboards, and the ceramic tent all around, I should be very good to go.

However, if anyone sees a blue gladiator driving around in Moab, with a white bedsheet on the roof, just move along! ?

I got ceramic tints on the front windows to match the rear windows, clear ceramic tint on the windshield, HotHeads headliners with Sound Assasin strips, and Soundskins soundproofing on all the floors and doors.
Although I haven't measured the noise levels I can assure you that it's very noticeable. Even closing the doors sounds and feels so much more solid. The ride is so quiet that my wife compares it to her Porsche Cayenne. Even in the South Florida heat the AC cools quickly.
A couple of installation notes on the Soundskins; you don't need to take the seats out of the car to do the floors. Just take the front bolts out and loosen the rear ones and tilt the seats backwards to do the front, and vice versa for the rear floor pans. When doing the doors, it makes it much easier if you divide the precut pieces they send you into 2 or even 3, which makes placing them quite simple. Finally, save all the extra material around the precut pieces and use them to line the inside of the door cards as much as possible thereby giving you 2 layers of sound proofing on each door. This made a very noticeable difference and is well worth the effort.
I'll attach a couple of pics below.
