Wheels and Tires look good. The rear bumper appears to have 2 recovery points under that trash bag. Not sure how the author know this is the final production spec, but defiantly appears further along then we have seen in the past. Also I am glad to see they correctly state the engine options in the article. I can’t tell you how many times I have read auto news articles that incorrectly state the JT will have the turbo option.

Activity picking up, getting even more excited.

Looks to me like they might be testing the soft top. There are a couple pics where the bag on the roof has flopped up a bit and the rain gutter looks like it is being overlapped by the top. Also it appears that the beer window is missing. The one with the forward collision has the beer window. The other one that appears to have a soft top does not have the forward collision. And there appears to be a beefier new under skirt for the front bumper. Its definitely molded to be less smooth than Ive seen before.

The one sans beer window is an older mule, JK interior and old windshield. That's probably why the camo looks so ratty.

Nice to see some more mules. They look ready to drop the trash bags.
Well the truck has been pushed back again for production, to probably 2020 model year. So its doubtful it will happen soon!

I don't think so. I bet we still see them coming off the line in early 2019. They switched to calling them 2020 my a while back, likely to save the $$ until both JT & JL move to 2021 my together. Wait, on further consideration, I bet they stagger the releases so the 2 assembly lines are never down at the same time. Anyway, I still have faith that they fire up the line in November for the first wave of test articles, show vehicles, and even get into production.

It sounds like the JT will be an early release 2020 model, appearing in mid 2019. Jeep has done this before, with the TJ. There was no 1996 Wrangler. The TJ went into production in January of 1996 and was released in Spring as a 1997 model.
