I need to correct something I said in an earlier post commenting on the AMW hydraulic steering. I mentioned that the PS pumps were all done at 20K miles, and you could read about that in many places.
I checked my statement when ITDodge questioned the comment. I was told by two separate mechanics that the pumps were not so good and would fail in twenty-odd thousand miles. My mistake, as it appears, is in stating you can read about it in several places.
Retracing my steps, I seem to have mixed the many statements about JK Hemi swaps experiencing PS pump issues due to mismatched pressures. I also read the same thing in some discussions on the Jeep Speed Shop forum.
I must have blended all that into a single concept, where it is actually several different discussions...My apologies to AMW and anyone who took my statement as fact
I hope this clears up the matter.

I'll be switching to a new thread PDQ as we are starting on the JT Hemi swap.
Before I depart this thread, which I will leave open, I wanted to talk a bit more about the company, HighLiftOffRoad, which is doing the swap.

https://highliftoffroad.com/

This is a "lead the fleet" organization that is much, much more than a 4WD Jeep shop. I mentioned in the past that they are affiliated with Jeep and Stellantis, but I have not always known just how intertwined they are. I cannot discuss some of the things I have seen, but suffice it to say, I have had a glimpse into the future, and the future is bright indeed!

The owner also owns several other prominent and well-known organizations such as this one:
https://www.gearvehicles.com/

When I mentioned that my Hemi Swap will feature mostly off-the-shelf MOPAR parts, well, you can kind of see why. He is also a Mopar parts warehouse, so your new SRT Hemi is already sitting there!
Gear Vehicles is a Jeep builder, much like AEV, but it operates within the Jeep dealership network. Yep, order a Gladdy lifted, built, bumpers, winch, you name it, and it gets built here and delivered by Jeep, who also warranties it!
Oh and he also owns:
https://www.grimmoffroad.com/

But, wait, there's more!

I know you have very likely watched Brad at TrailRecon... https://trailrecon.com/

Well, HighLift also owns that retail store as well.
I think this Cincinnati-based company is positioning itself to become one of the premier Jeep/4WD companies in the country, if not the premier one.
