I'm not an electrical specialist but if the person in the back wanted to put down the window couldn't he/she just push the button? Is the rear window operation dependent on the front windows? If you wanted to put down the back window couldn't you just reach back and press the button?
My wife can't reach back. Her arms don't work that way. In fact when we are both in a jeep, I operate the windows for her.

lol people in this thread are complaining about aux switch placement and you want them to reach back and try to find the rear window switches?

and yes, some vehicle rely on the front switches for all windows to work.

Another gripe of mine, there's already a wire connector for the rear window defroster. Would it kill them to put 2 more wires in and have a power back window???? I don't have any suggestions on where to put the button, but I'd be ok if it was just on the screen, open/close.

There's more than just wires... Need a motor, mechanism that attaches window to motor, and a place to put everything and make it all non obstructive, another electrical disconnec, a place for a switch ect

Not to mention the added weight of all of that for a roof that's supposedly removable by one person lifting it off. A motor and mechanism to move the window will kill the profile and somehow need to be out of the way in case accident with rear passengers.
Jeep already tried hard to trim all possible weight from the whole truck, and the roof included............ now to add the stress of sliding a window which could be frozen in the winter?
No thanks. It's a Jeep, not a Lexus.

I wish that rear window was just a solid pane. I've opened it maybe twice in 3 years.

I didn't get a survey but I have and like the aux switches. Only complaint is their placement isn't great. I want to hit the switch for my front lights while driving down a rural road so I don't smack a deer and it's kind of difficult to find and requires taking my eyes off the road longer than I'd like.

I'd get them again, I think the wiring is really convenient and it of course fills out the dashboard with an OEM look. I can always add an overhead switch panel if I need more.

I love my aux switches since they came out, my old 91 jeep didn't have them and they are convenient IMO. Are they a bit low, yes, but how many times do you need to switch them on/off while on the trail? For me it is no big deal.
Would I like 6 rather than 4 yes, but after years of none from the factory I guess I am not quick to complain.

I'd simply pull off the road for a few seconds. But it would still be faster than most of the Jeeps I have owned (and still own) with zippers on the windows. The "power" thing with half-doors is how fast you can unzip them yourself. Actually, it's usually faster to just grab a window, take it out and throw it into the back seat and drive away.

I have one response for them: “you rejected my battery’s warranty claim because I declined a non-warranty electrical troubleshooting first, at $800. All because I had a winch installed and lights attached to my aux switches”

clowns.

I have the aux switches and am currently using only one [aux 3] for my Garmin Tread.

Because I have aux 3 set up to always come on once the vehicle is in the run condition or started I actually don't mind the location at all.

I have stealth led lights mounted on either side of my windshield because I can't stand the look or noise from external lights. So I just reach up to turn them on [amber or white] or off.

The stealth lights are definitely not going to be as good as external lights if you spend a lot of time on the trails at night but quite frankly I always wonder how often the guys with the lights actually do trails at night.

I occasionally get the "aux switches unavailable" but within 30 seconds to 3 minutes of starting the truck my Garmin comes on.

My dual air compressor and winch are hard wired directly to the battery and will work without the engine running. That said, I admit I always run the vehicle when using either one.

Imagine how much THAT would leak!
