I believe that issue was resolved.... should have been resolved as of May22. They revised the HP pump. But Who knows. They are still using that dumb 2nd battery thats causing hell for many people.
I'm still waiting for a HP pump for my truck. What they usually do is fix the warranty one first before they build new ones.

This might be the reason high pressure fuel pump recall
The recall affects the following vehicles…

Mine was built Feb 2023. Was there MORE that are recalled or another recall?

I ordered a Diesel Gladiator 1-2-23 that was built ready to ship since Feb 21st. Wednesday this week i was told FCA is issuing a full stop sale notice.. wth?.. PS Diesels are NOT built with manuals, they have the 8HP75 heavy-duty auto transmission.
The diesel option was never offered with a manual in either the JL or JT. In fact, the manual used is questionable at best.

They do not build the Diesels with manuals in the 23's
…or ‘20, ‘21 & ‘22. Never came with it as an option. In fact they only offer it with the 8hp75 ZF also standard behind the 392 in other models due to its strength.

Interesting I knew the cutoff was early 2022 and I have a build date of March and showing no recall on mine.

I’m in the suspecting fuel pump recall issue. I got the recall notice back in October, but still no parts available.

I don't think FCA will do anything with the fuel pump until the feds complete their investigation. Why start something and have to stop and go in another direction.

The recent Gladiators that are outside of the recall period still have the CP4.2 injection pump, just like all the recalled ones. No matter what they try to do to harden that pump against our "bad" fuel, it has an inherent design problem that causes shrapnel to be pumped throughout the fuel system and into the injectors (clogging them) when it starts to fail. A failing pump will cause the engine to abruptly stall (which is the reason for the recall) as well as $10K or so of damage to the fuel system. They need to design this problem out of it or replace it with a good pump such as a CP3 that does not have this problem. The CP4 is a truly dumb design. No consideration was given to its failure and the damage it would cause.

I get the feeling Jeep is going to cancel any diesel not already on the lot and write them off. I don’t think the OP will get his truck.

If it’s any consolidation the Bosch CP4 fuel pump issue is present in Ram and Ford heavy duty diesels as well. I have an F-350 Super Duty and this issue has been all over the online forums with no definitive fix. A few people have put an inline Filter but it is only a band aid.
