Suntop Soft Top

Sounds like "you get what you pay for" is going to apply to soft tops as well.

The "man bun" factory top is 100% functional and designed that way on purpose. I'd rather buy a used factory top from a member here. But to each their own. Hopefully you all get your orders soon.

Looks like it sags pretty bad across the rear. And that window is tiny. I wonder how that's going to hold up to snow with no support across the rear like that?

Snow? Then he should have bought the snowtop, not the suntop. ?

Do we know if the top is intended to be an all season top? We don’t get a lot of snow around here. Might be a good option for me.

How tight is the fabric? The back window and corners look like they might be a bit loose (and therefore noisier than desired).

JL version had a metal bar across the rear that kept it from sagging. I'm wondering if it's just the angle of the pic.

It’s just angle of pic, there is a metal bar in rear, also finished after dark I need to get more tension on it, but it wasn’t flappy at all on the drive to work

This was just my spring summer late fall top… but it probably just angle of pics, will get more pics later

I do think you're right to a degree. Although some of the issues could be due to 1st generation of this top. The overall product seems reasonably well thought out, but a bit overly complex. at the moment. The simplicity of the factory top is the result of a significant R&D budget and the decades of experience that Bestop was able to apply.

Happens all the time to me. Must be a glitch. The JL Forum doesn't seem to have this problem.
