When the computer update to the PCM that was released in mid-July did not resolve the issue, they started doing more tests and found the compression issue. I have not seen any of the paperwork on this current visit so am not sure what else they may have done during the past month that led to the engine replacement. Also, I have been told the replacement is a brand new completely assembled engine from the factory.Interesting. I am on my fourth service visit and been requesting an engine compression test for 2 days now. So far, no cooperation.
what other tests or repair attempts were made before the engine compression problem was identified?
