Just got back home. Dealer told me they flashed it and drove around to make sure it was fine, mileage was identical to when I dropped it off - they maybe did a circle of the parking lot, but sure as hell didn’t drive it anywhere else.

That said, whatever they did to the PCM is making it feel peppy as hell. He told me they sent me a video of the testing showing all cylinders firing properly, but I got no video. They said, “maybe it will show up later.”

I’m attaching what they did as well as the updated TSB with the update released today. You’ll see it is directly related to the P0300. The service manager told me these P0300 codes are erroneous and are not right... so this flash will “fix” the firing and make sure the computer doesn’t get it wrong anymore. This entire thread proves otherwise, but I just wanted to give all the info I have. I put about 40 miles on it driving home, not a single issue yet.

I'm honestly not holding my breath.

I already ordered a replacement - 2021 JT Rubi EcoDiesel. I just need this fix to hold out until ShitStorm V2.0 arrives. lolol

Any reason, if the dealer is refusing to do a compression test, you can't do one yourself?

Date of Mfg: 11-19
MDH: 111822 505AA
Mileage when it first occurred: 461 miles
How many times has it occurred: 2
What exact codes did it throw: P0300
Is the issue on going? Yes
If so, what has been done to try to solve the issue? First visit "cleared code and test drove vehicle. Light did not come back on this time."
Was the issue ever fully resolved? Not yet

CEL and ESS

Anyone in the NE Dallas area with a recommended service department? One perhaps with experience with this issue?
Elder Dodge in Athens. worked on ours until we traded it. They were excellent and probably know more a about it than most. Rockwall Jeep had a few, but I don't know how good they are.

Does anyone know where you can find the most recent TSBs? I’ve looked through the ones on the NHTSA site but they do not have any of the newer ones available. They end in July 2020 on the site. Maybe they only update them once a month?

NHTSA wasn't tracking these until January of this year. IF a TSB is there, it's only luck, or since January of this year. IF there was a TSB prior to this year, it's likely you won't find it.
NHTSA is mostly interested in safety and emissions but consumer groups got pissed and then a law was passed - but still crickets until this year.
It used to be they were NEVER posted online, period. So this is very new - and likely you will still find holes. Any time the government gets orders to do something new or different, it takes time to make it work.
So...........
Anyway, I did some digging to see if I could find out more and found a pretty decent article about TSBs, recalls and other stuff here-

Hmmm - a search of NHTSA does show a TSB about the engine miss and points to a PCM update - specifically mentions the codes talked about in this thread and others. Blames it on PCM software. I downloaded the PDF for the TSB and according to this the dealer is to upgrade the PCM - several things are impacted resulting in the same errors as mentioned here.

I noticed they have the one from July 11th, 2020 but not the Rev A that replaced it on August 28th, 2020.

Question for all here who are working thru the misfire issue...
Do you have the ESS permanently disabled with a tazer or something similar, or shut it off with the button every time?
OR
Are you still using the ESS function with every drive?

For me I have it permanently disabled with the tazer.

GlacierGladiator, my ess is turned off with a tazer lite. However the day prior and the day of the cel, almost everytime i started the engine I had a ess light. I'm wondering if the ess issue triggered the cel. The jt runs absolutely fine with no reduction in mpg. If it wasn't for the cel light, nothing would feel or look abnormal.

Yes mutiple A! Lights will trigger the CEL.
Your issues is similar to mine. I get the occasional A! Light but it has not triggered the CEL in about 7000 miles. For me disabling the ESS seems to help the situation. I plan to get the most current flash to the PCM. I had had no other work done.
