Don't let me fool you - I have lift kits listed in my 'Gladiator Planning Tool'. The time may well come 😄

I nearly bought a boat.

We decided we needed a tractor instead. Now I have two 4x4s! You guys thought modding a Jeep was bottomless. These little guys are just as bad.

My lawn tractor, a JD, is 4 wheel steer and 4 wheel drive
My Eagle is 4 wheel drive so I guess we have four 4x4s

I am far from a genius but I researched sub compacts until I was cross eyed - so I may be able to offer *some* useful information.
Much appreciated. No rush. It’s not happening before the winter. One more year with the snowblower. Really we want it for yard (dirt and rock) things more.

Selective Frugality.

Gonna tell the ole lady this next time I say we hit our dining out quota while I buy.....all the goofy crap I buy.
I'm over here like $500-1,000 end links, no way. Meanwhile we drive 1 of 2 lifted Jeeps 600 miles each way to our AZ property 10-12 times a year a 12-13mpg. Nice dinner out plus cocktails $200-300 no problem. Take a group of buddies out target shooting and go through $1k in ammo like it's nothing. Why are we running the AC when its 70⁰ outside? Who left the lights on? It's a mental disorder and I enjoy every minute of it.

I’m in that same camp. Certain things bug me like lights on. But as you said, I like a nice meal, and don’t look at my mpg unless it’s for a joke.

I have the autolynx on my 25’ stock Mojave and they’re awesome. No mods needed but a few bolts are a pain in the ass and you’ll need a crows foot to torque things properly.

Several people have asked how much I spend on gas going to/ from our property... why would I want to track that? The pump has a "no" option for the receipt for a reason. It's like tracking every penny put into the Jeeps, no thanks. I've seen guys with spread sheets that track mods, fuel, oil changes, and everything else, no way I want all that info in my face. I know roughly how much we have into 2 built Jeeps... and that's enough for me.

Those pesky latte drinking, non-working, Rubicon owners just have to push a button, at least the Autolynx owners have to actually get out in the elements and flip the tops!

Lucky to have one house. I buy coffee (K cups) on sale at Menards and try to keep it under $0.25 per cup, use coupons for eating out, get the cheapest gas price we can. I mock the Starbucks $5/cup drink crowd. Did you know you can make some of those Starbucks drinks by simply putting way too much coffee in your Black and Decker Amazon special coffee maker so that it's cowboy strong with the grounds in the cup? Why would I pay someone to do that for me??
Cocktails? HAHA. Right.

Currently, I'm watching money spent to be able to buy the gas to get back and forth to Iowa city for all of my appointments, surgeries, and hotel stays over there.

To get a few things we want, we must watch other things.
Since I can no longer lay under a vehicle to work on it without getting sick - I think I'll sell some of my shop equipment to make space - and money - to get a lift, but the floor the idiot poured in there may not support one.

At least with the sway bar, I can raise the front and sit down for almost all of that.

The trickiest bit will be the sensing switch and placement of same. Wiring - not an issue.
I made a harness - with diodes and a relay, to trick the 94 Jeep PCM into taking the cruise control signals from a 1982 AMC cruise control switch, so this is doable.

I used to hassle folks a little about expensive coffees (and I still do), but when my girlfriend became an LPN it became clear that when dealing with patients 12-14 hours/day, sometimes 5 days a week (her shift rotates two days in a row, then next time is five days, then two, etc) getting a coffee from PJ's in the hospital lobby (the Louisiana equivalent to Starbucks) is the treat that keeps her mostly on the rails 🤣

Me - I have the reuseable K-cup that I put little filters in and I buy cans of coffee when on sale, lol.

If I want an over priced coffee on my break it's still cheaper than the couple shots of whiskey as an alternative and the safety guy probably appreciates it too?

If I ever get a lift, it’ll be a four post. No issue with concrete strength then. I’ve priced them and they’re really not more expensive than a two post, and they’re movable. No need to bolt down unless in an earthquake area. That’s per the manufacturers they they don’t need to be secured to the floor. And no concrete specs to follow with 4 posts.

I have a cup from the keurig every morning... and then a cold brew from Starbucks when we walk the dogs (at least their pup cup is free). They won't bury me with the money so selective frugality it is.

We even went away from k cups years ago. They add up fast to a nicer machine. Our small super automatic makes much better coffee, per cup, and pays for itself quickly when compared to k cups, coffee shops, or both.
