Tailgate latch broken

Here's my issue, the plastic piece in the middle broke off that holds the latch mechanism together. Looks like I'll need to order that part. Now I got to figure out the part number I need. Always something. Looks like a easy fix if I can find that part

I'm just gonna replace it. It's a moving part with a spring inside. If it snaps again and I got another cover on I'll be in the same boat. I'm gonna hit up the dealership for the part I need tomorrow.

Good news is I recall that part comes off very easily... i think. Hahah.

PM sent just now. I'll update once I have a part number. Seems like a easy fix maybe from what I can tell, I just need to find out if I need to purchase the whole handle and inner assembly or just the Inner assembly. I hope it's not both.

Anyone know off hand how to look up the
part by this diagram. Looks like the part I need is part #7. It's early and I'm drawing a blank on how to find that part using this

I think I found it. Looks like this appears to be the part I need. That's a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. I found the part on Quadratecs website and used their part number to for reference online.

If I'm wrong please someone let me know but this appears to me to be what I need. If I can get a second or third opinion then I'll go ahead and order it. Hopefully it's a easy fix as well.

Gonna check with the dealership and see if they have one in stock before ordering it. I'll pay a little extra to go ahead and have it but if they got to order it I'll just order one online I guess. I would think a metal part would of been better but I guess it is what it is. Still pretty cheap for the part.

Order place with my Mopar parts.com. $29 counting shipping, expected January 7th-10th. Dealership wanted $52 for it and a days wait. I should have the part by Monday.

Which one would you guys grab. I got the Tyger one now and it was $160 when I got it about 3yrs ago but it's not $254. I think they are all about the same at this price point or am I missing something

I have the oedro tonneau & my only complaints are:
1. The latch seems flimsy (a single pull in the middle, connected to both sides). It hasn't been an issue but I've only had it for ~3 months.
2. It isn't designed for the Gladiator (it's boxy in the back & took some time to adjust for a fit I was happy enough with) but it has been water tight for me.

I got mine for $140 shipped & I'm happy enouigh with it that I'd buy it again at that price.

I've always preferred roll up vs fold up as I often need it open to use the whole bed.

I ended up buying the Oedro one for $125 new in box. Is yours a trip fold or roll up. I didn't take it out of the box yet but I figured For $125 it will due for now, a tri-fold tonneau cover at that price not expecting a whole lot.

Mine is the roll up version. Not the best tonneau I've ever had but it's a great value at that price.

Update, got the part yesterday, got it put on today. Pretty easy to fix I was surprised honestly. About 30 minutes or less and right at $30 to fix it. I'll throw the Oedro Tonneau Cover on in a little bit and update how I feel about it. $125 for a brand new tri-fold tonneau cover seems like a steal, I hope it's not to good to be true though.
