Definite pain in the arse to get to those connectors. Took me several attempts over multiple days before I finally got them out. Rubicon-X and Mohave-X have an extra black bar that limits access. Maybe a wife or teenager with smaller hands can help do the trick.

All the best. Some pics linked here.

(50) Has anyone with a 2024 installed a TAZER or ECRI | Page 2 | Jeep Wrangler Forums (JL / JLU) -- Rubicon, 4xe, 392, Sahara, Sport - JLwranglerforums.com

"Got it. Tried with a different shorter length narrow screw driver to hold the tabs in while reaching up with my right hand, pulled on the wires, and they popped right out so easily I was in awe. The longer screw driver kept slipping off the tab when I would reach up in there." That black bar shown in the picture in the linked post really limits access, no way two hands will fit in there.

EDIT to add: Also, take the door connections off so you can open it up wide and have more room to contort yourself to get up under there. A headlamp helps to see what is going on.

Yup….. my husband and I worked on it. My small hands were good to get up in there, but I don’t have enough ‘strength’ to grasp and pull (arthritis in thumbs).
So, with the help of a screwdriver & needle nose pliers….. he got it unplugged.

Nothing is ever easy!! 😣

It has been a couple of years since mine was added but if I rememember correctly, I used a ball point pen to hold the tabs down

Needle nose pliers worked for me too. Then installed the extension cables.

I have a Tazer but the install is a pain and the program is about the same. Tech support does not exist. Hope I never have to remove it.

It is tough. You are not losing your mind. Hopefully you are in a heated garage.

Thankfully my dealer doesn't give a shit about my TAZR or anything else I've "added" to mine.

And yes, extension cables FTW
