Just trade in for a Rubicon or Mojave?
Im up against my budget. Every closely optioned rubicon or mojave I see is pushing 10k or higher over my trade value.

Did you get a soft top. I have yet to see a hard top in the wild. I haven't been on Bronco6G.com in months, but are they even shipping hard tops??
Yea hard tops seem pretty rare. Out of the tens of Broncos that I’ve seen in person, I only remember 3 of them having hard tops. Maybe this was a coincidence but those 3 were all First Editions as well.

How about swapping out the MTs for some K02s. That will improve the ride immensely.

By the way, if you have the room, you can't beat a trailer. $2k gets you a very nice trailer that can haul as much weight as an F250, more cargo space (5x8), and the load height is 1/3 as high.

I got rid of my pickup truck in 2008 and bought a trailer. No ragretts. I've got a cap for the Gladiator, so if I've got any heavy hauling to do, its going on the trailer.

Locally we seem to always have a few on the lots and while I agree they look uniquely compelling, they feel just as disposable as most other vehicles on the market. Get a good handful of interior and yank on in, hear the creaking and view the wiggling around similar to every 20k car?

Hang out in the interior for awhile and observe nuances like carpet backed seats in a $55k+ vehicle.

Use a single finger, your pinky even, to press in a body panel. The lines are great but walk over to a 19k OTD EcoSport and do the same. While you’re at it, look at all the swirls induced by prep. All vehicles are prone to this but their paint and clear is remarkably thin for the space they designed the new bronco to compete in. Same *hit, different packaging.

Watch some tear down videos on YouTube and notice the assemblies dependence on plastic fasteners… You know, the kind that go brittle and crack after a few years.

I’ve got a 21’ EcoD with a leaking rear axle, a hunger for DEF and an internet hate mob unlike any other Jeep product : ) but you know what, if something fails over the next few dozen years, I or the current owner can swap it out with simple tools and know-how. Their is collective wisdom in the lineage of Jeep’s off-road products that is unmatched and entirely absent with any Ford product intended for off-road use.

The bronco is the manifestation of what the internet wants to buy to go off-road should the need arise. If you want to see them on lots collecting dust, travel to rough terrain. If you want to fight for MSRP chasing “broncos being unloaded at xyz urban dealership” instagram videos, that’s very possible too. That reality should bring into question the sensibility of comparing it to a gladiator or wrangler. A 25k kia will out feature them both in tech. and creature comforts, my wife’s 2020 CX-9 feels like a space ship compared to my truck.

They are very cool and as a fan of tuning and F/I, I LOVE the motor line-up but you’d be giving up so much more than you describe by moving into that platform, the kinds of things that really become stomach turning after a year of ownership. Head over to the 6G forum and observe the personas of current owners. The Jeep community, especially online, has its bumps but that community is pretty polarizing.

Maybe some misscommunication. I love the JT. I loved the way it rides and drives since day one. I did score some take off rubi shocks and springs which did not seem to change anything other then a little lift. Still rides and drives great. The only reason I’m tempted is because I do like the bronco look a bit better and it has the features that I’m currently missing. Dealer does not have the unit marked up other then some nickel and dime deals like etched windows. This is all over the phone stuff at the moment so it could all change quickly. Dealerships in general have not been the most honest folks in my dealings with them in past experiences. What is going to be a difference maker is trade in value. The upper end estimates for my truck are 44-45k lower end is 38k. Bronco is 45k. I’m not so sure these guys are going to let a bronco leave the lot with a near swap. I’m perfectly happy with my truck and without max trade in value will walk away.

At the end of the day, as pretty as it can be, it's still a Ford. If I want to spend the next 10 years with endless recalls, I'd consider it, but I love my Gladiator and won't be getting rid of it.

There are a few Broncos running around town in MA and I saw a bunch up in NH over the winter. But all were soft tops.
Hmm. I’m seeing quite a few hard tops here in the last 3-4 months. I agree though yeah the majority were soft tops since Ford can’t build a simple roof.

One of the nice things about the Bronco is the Sasquatch package can be had at any level.
A base 2 door bronco with the 2.3 and Sasquatch is supremely capable.

$38,500 gets you a base 2 door with the 2.3 turbo, 6 speed manual, 35" tires, 4.70 gears, locking front and rear diffs, beadlock capable rims, and lifted suspension. For someone who doesn't care about toys or room, this is a steal.

I did forget to mention that the interior does feel a step or 3 below the interior in the higher line Jeeps. I was comparing a highly optioned Badlands with a Mojave. But again, interior quality may not matter to you. Which is why we all buy different vehicles.

It is interesting that Ford is now offering the HOSS package on top of the Sasquatch. Fox shocks and heavy duty tie rod ends (a known bronco problem).

The funny thing is I just logged into Ford.com and my Bronco reservation is still active. Now I'm wondering if its worth flipping. Ha.

2022 Jeep Gladiator diesel, 1977 cj5 LS swapped
I got one on order, ordered a 4 door 2.3 in Feb. $48,710 was the price, no markup from Hilbish in Kannapolis NC. Still waiting on a Vin but they are delivering most to them in 5 month or less based on others experiences. I ordered from them based on advice from RTR Racing. I wouldn't get rid of my Jeep Gladiator for one but the wife wants one. I'll say this, the Bronco rides better and has significantly more power than the JT. You can feel it. I need a truck though and that's the reason I'm not in a Wrangler anymore and the JT was a happy compromise.

That pricing to me seems crazy. I got a diesel gladiator off the lot 2022 for less than that and is equally capable offroad but would say it is slightly lacking in creature comforts as its a sport s.

the fact that ford is pushing a 2.3l 4 banger suv into the 50's (most dealers add markup) and making people wait two years seems insane.

Was tempted, but Ford dealer told me 2 years for an order (not sure how accurate he was), and the package with heated seats kept deleting the manual because of the remote start. I like both, but eventually traded my 12 JKR on my ordered and delivered manual 22 JT Willys.
The package with heated seats doesn't delete the manual because of remote state. Ford does not allow any packages on any manual transmission broncos except for the Badlands trim (rubicon equivalent)

You cannot get mid package on black diamond or big bend with a manual transmission, and it has nothing to do with remote start, just shitty ford packaging decisions.

This price has gone up. My 2dr manual sasquatch with steel bumper and switches and nothing else was up to 40,700 right before they cut off orders. If I don't get it in 2022 (i wont) my price is not protected into 2023.

All Broncos have a HOSS suspension system. base, big bend, black diamond, and OBX w/o sasquatch have HOSS 1.0. Badlands, Wildtrak, First Edition, Everglades Edition and all Sasquatch packages have HOSS 2.0. Wildtraks can option in HOSS 3.0, and Raptors have HOSS 4.0

I'm sorry we got the 2.7 not the 2.3, I got type happy. The 2.7 is plenty of power based on the one we drove. I would not get the 2.3 personally. Drove both and you could tell the difference in power. I'm guessing based on other experiences with Hilbish that we will have ours by July or August. My buddy had his in 4 months and Vaugh Gittin Jr has been able to get them at will pretty much. He has had 7 in his shop since October and most of theirs are coming from Hilbish Ford.

I mean, like I said I wouldn't sell the Gladiator for one but it will make a nice addition if I want to ride with more comfort to the beach and still be able to take tops and doors off. The ride quality in one even on 35 inch tires and beadlocks has the Gladiator and a Wrangler beat. For what we got on ours, 2022 model, 4.7 gears, lockers, switches, front steel bumper with bull bar, and steel fenders, for the price it's a pretty good deal. I wouldn't pay markup on them like some but my buddy was out the door on his Sport he built for $51,000 and that was a 4 door on 35's with Sasquatch package. He added a couple more options than I did. Plus for $500 RTR Racing told me they have a tune for them that bumps the HP and torque up, HP to 400 and torque to 480 if I'm not mistaken on the 2.7.

Technically, yes. But that’s confusing for consumers so I hate when people say that. Ford is really bad at advertising just about anything. Saying they all have HOSS is kind of like saying every Jeep has an off road tuned suspension. We all know the Mojave and Badlands have different setups just like the wildtrak/badlands/raptors do. Sorry, mini rant lol. Their advertising creates more questions than answers.

As nice as they look, etc for me after owning 2 fords and both being complete lemons it would be so hard for me to ever pull the trigger on another Ford. I know folks who swear by them but I just have had nothing but bad look in Fords.
