Can't believe nobody has mentioned gas struts for the hood. The single best mod I have done because I always hook mine up to a battery maintainer. So much easier to just lift the hood and hook it up. Also the Bullet point phone holder.
^^^^^ This. Especially for the Mojave. Then a dead pedal.

The stock Rubicon ones are not beefy enough and too tucked in for my use. Not enough protection for side protection from rocks and old ladies errant shopping carts. There's lots of good brands out there. I like rockhard 4x4 for their solid performance and price point.
Yeah, totally agree on that. Cosmetically sound, it looks good. But superior protection from those damn ghost riding shopping carts, probably not too much.

Maybe 0 offset beadlocks with 38s will deter those pesky carts.

Dead pedal and speaker upgrades. I spend to much time driving to be uncomfortable and have to listen to muddy music.

For everyone that said they installed seat jackers: I am 6'5" and am worried that increasing the height of the seat will put my head too close to the ceiling. I currently lower my seat down and put it all the way back.(Slide not recline) Anyone have any trouble like that?
You need Seat Slammers + a Sunrider. Between the two head space practically doubles

Seat Jackers. I think I went with 1.25" and it made a big difference in seat comfort (after I got used to it--at first, the difference seemed like I'd overdone it), upgrades to every speaker other than the subwoofer, gas struts for hood (maybe $80 on Amazon and well worth it), 67 Designs mount and phone holder for dash.

Also 6’5”. Seat jackers made a huge difference in comfort. No head issues. Seat full back, full down. Seatjacker, now enjoy sitting there.

Driver mod is super important. Seen a bunch of incredibly capable vehicles get stuck or broken due to poor driver mods.

I would like to know for those of you who have Rubicon, what was something that you guys felt was a necessary mod?

Aside from tires and a lift.

What improved your overall experience with your Rubicon?

I’m planning to keep mine stock for about a year, take it on a couple of trips, and then see what my limitations are for the vehicle.

Would love to know your guys input.

Mojave, Willys, and Sport trim are welcome for inputs too!!!
  • Dead pedal
  • Seat Jacker
  • Tazer Mini
  • Trailer hitch skid
  • Metal Cloak rear swaybar brace
  • Mud flaps
