Lots of good recommendations - I learned the hard way on my first gladiator (2020), so for my latest one (2023) take preventive actions for your sun visors - don't let them break. Either a kit or DIY snap ring. A broken visor is no fun.

could you please share which mud flaps you bought?

thank you
I have the Rokblkz. multiple colors and sizes available and they fit around the factory Rubicon rail where it extends into the front wheel well.

I went with RokBlokz. They're a little expensive but they are tough and work very well. They are also very easy to remove if you are in a situation that they are in the way

I guess if I'm crawling or trying to get out of mud, that would technically be the only times where I would need it off. And in that case, I wouldn't have a reason to shut off and restart the Jeep.
You've never been driving down a simple dirt road that suddenly had a mud hole in the middle? Maybe the plow made a big pile at the turn into your driveway or on to your street? Every time the tires gets a little slippery I don't need to put it in 4wd or remember to turn the traction control off in a Jeep. It should stay off as I never need it on. I should be able to throttle through a little mud or a pile of snow with nothing more than my right foot.

I like your example, but no I haven't. I grew up and still live near lakes and swamps, It's always muddy here. There's no such thing as a sudden mud hole here. Even when it doesn't rain, it's muddy. Mudding (Mudriding) was a sport in my neck of the woods.🤣🤣 I have two trucks. The JT and a Ram. And I've never had an issue with navigating through mud. Hell, I don't even use 4wd half of the time.🤦‍♂️🤣 Any time I've ever needed the traction control off, I just manual shift, turn it off, and keep on crawling. No issues.

Depends on what you are looking to do. I got my 2021 JTR to do it all. Ran it stock till this summer. I now have 3.5” Metal Cloak Game Changer, 37s, and many other mods. Banged up rear frame side lower control arm brackets pretty good before the lift. Have skids now, but if I could do it over I would invest in upgrading and installing additional skids first thing.

Depending on what you are doing with it. Floor mats, winch, phone holder. We're some of my first along with a metal bumper and something in hitch. Looking at drivers side floor mat I'm due a new one. Dang hard to think about or remember, I'm starting to look into set #4 tires in future from wearing them out.

i have had zero issues with mine but i don't use FM radio. I have had a lifetime XM account for like 20 years. Shit i don't even use that anymore. I just use my apple music and listen to what i want when i want. The antenna slapping around in teh car wash is awful. I think the XM antenna is on the speaker bar.
I like my local station for my morning commute at 0300 I didn't fin much on I like when my last car had a trial hell, the trial on my JT expired and i never used it

If it's under warranty, get it fixed at the dealership.

How deep your mud puddles that you need four wheel drive?

Sometimes they are deep enough to need 4wd, but as I stated what I need is the stupid traction control to stay off so I can simply throttle through the mud in 2wd. The last thing I want in any truck or off road vehicle is for it to cut power when there's wheel slip. That's exactly what you'd do if you were trying to get stuck in a low traction situation. I understand there are dumb government mandates, but if I turn it off it should stay that way. That's one of the many reasons I'd never own a Jeep without a tazer. Hell some of the start/stop eliminators are half the price of a tazer, and that's all they do. It remembers to leave that junk off too.

I didn't do mudflaps, but I would say that would be a good one. Also, when I put my -12 wheels on, I did the XR fender extensions. It will really help with door hinge dings from rocks.

Other than that, door sill protectors and grab handles were some of my first. I also really wanted brighter reverse lights, so I got the bumper lights that replace the factory reflectors.

I forget the exact order of my mods, but will say, depending on your specific circumstances they can change.

Sill guards, but removed pretty soon there after. They leave just enough gap in the door bulb seal to allow me to get sprayed going through a car wash much less going through some type of water crossing.

MORE dead peddle

Got 2 stubby antenna’s and the reception sucked so I went back to stock.

Winch: Got the Badland 12k syn on sale + my membership discount for around 340-350.

Seat Jacker mod cuz I’m tall + it supports the back of my legs better improving the over all driving position.

Hard tri-fold bed cover

Air: ARB twin with the Kraken system…love it!

CB & GMRS

Clayton 2.5 Overland + Diesel lift. Still waiting on wheels and tires.

Tazer but waiting to install until the tires come in.
On your antenna… I put three layers of shrink tubing on my JKU antenna. Two 1/4” and one 3/8” (if I remember correctly). I think It looks nicer being black but shrink tubing is available in many colors.
