I would prefer the lower winch Rock Hard alu bumper but the shop had this one on the shelf at a good deal. Shipping rates to the west coast now are a killer. Called Rock Hard and they said the high mount would not be an issue with the 3.6. Not going to overthink this.

For what it’s worth I have the 3.6 and when I mounted lights and bumper - a few people warned me of overheating and I’ve had zero issues.

Granted I live in the Midwest so not the warmest spot on earth. Just my 2 cents of experience.

My 14 JKU has run hot from day one when in the mountains. whenever we start going up, the heat goes on high and the windows go down. LOL I thing the fan does not kick on in time. I have asked two different dealers about adjusting it and both said there was no adjustments.

Looks great! I’m thinking about this one as well. Did you have to modify your skid plate at all? I have a Rubicon so I would imagine the skid plates are somewhat similar.

No mods to the skid plate were needed, it fits great with a small gap.

E-Bay knock-off of Rubicon Steel Bumper. All parts shown in the image (including LED fog lights) came with the bumper @ < $500. I used the LED fog lights that were installed on my original plastic bumper instead of the fog lights that came with the steel bumper.

I installed this same bumper. I got the winch plate installed also. Did you have to modify anything to have that winch fit inside the bumper? Also what winch is that that your using?

I installed this same bumper. I got the winch plate installed also. Did you have to modify anything to have that winch fit inside the bumper? Also what winch is that that your using?

I used the winch plate that came with the bumper. I had to drill a couple of the holes out a little to get it to fit properly..... no big deal. I went with the Warn VR EVO 10-S (synthetic rope). Certainly not the cheapest winch on the market. But I wanted the best...

Steel is heavier than synthetic. Synthetic looses almost all of its tension instantly in the event of a break, so a lot safer as well.

Anyway, saw this on Amazon, and I know some of the “more reasonably priced” items don’t always hold up as long. Bought side steps for my old FJ and her old JK, and they were just ok.

Does anyone have either of these EAG bumpers?

I was surprised the rear accepts the factory plugs and lights. ?‍

I just installed the Spartacus bumper by rugged ridge. It is almost as light as the stock bumper. Very easy install.

Rugged Ridge Arcus, I chose it because it was on the lower end on pricing, worked with factory fogs, factory Mohave skid, and didn't weigh a ton.
