I had the pedal commander in my F-150 and Bronco but switched to the Pedal Monster in the Gladiator. The Pedal Monster is way better and more reliable than the Pedal Commander. You can definitely feel the difference.

Is there anyone using the Pedal Commander or the Drive in their Gladiator? Has it improved your pedal response.

I ran a Pedal Commander for a little over a year. It worked fine for about 6 months then started throwing error code P2138 listed as “Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch “D”/”E” Voltage Correlation”. They asked me to send it in for warranty repair and once back, it worked good again for another six months then started doing the same thing. Once again I sent it in for warranty repair but this time when it came back, I sold it and moved to Banks Pedal Monster. I've had the Banks unit for 8 or 10 months now and no problems at all. The power curve is much smoother with Banks and feels natural where it felt twitchy with the Pedal Commander.

Been running the pedal commander for a couple of years. No issue. But Banks seem like a better choice.

I ran an EVC for about 3 hours, and took it off. It just makes the TB think you're giving it more pedal than you are. I bought it because I came off a 2.0T JLUW XR, and the Gladiator was a complete turd in comparison. I don't know if it was a matter of me just getting used to it, engine breaking in and loosening up a bit, or both, but I'm completely satisfied with it's performance, now without a controller.

I've had pedal commanders on both my last two cars and they worked well, but.....I went ahead and tried this $40 one off amazon for my 22 JTRD and it works just fine. Saved more than a few bucks.

I use an iDrive from Ultimate9 and am very happy with how it works, the flexibility of the options and the end result. I don't miss that throttle lag at all!
