Have you looked to see how much of price difference there is with the Teraflex 1.1 and 2.1 shocks. The 2.1's have a soft and firm setting option...

When I used to be in the Toyota world the 5100's were the budget entry level shock. Your Jeep deserves better!!

I have not. That is the reason for this thread.
Did you call Nick at Kolak Performance? 480-998-3661
Nick called me back but I missed his call. I'll try again on Monday. Thanks.

I was on their site. They like to push King shocks. 2.1 were double the price of Bilstein
I know were looking at two different animals. I ran out of time to look at the rest. I will later. Thanks for the comments.

My Crown Victoria is 24 years old. The shocks are still good after all of these years. Could be the control arms bushings binding. Hahaha

I just need to find a set now. I can do more research later. 5100 Bilsteins 0-1.5 are hard to find at a reasonable price. I haven't looked real hard this morning.
Priced as of 3/22/25
Rear $99 ea

Front $117 ea

Collapsed length is the same as factory- extended does not pull the brake lines tight…

Cheap and work well.

I love my falcons:). The bilsteins are very likely cheaper, though.

Today, I was following my JT and noticed about 3-4 bounces after crossing railroad tracks. I have a Smart cap on the bed with 200lbs of gear that rides all of time. I also have a winch up front. I don't think I'm going back with Fox shocks. What other options are there for a Rubicon with no lift? I saw that Bilstein shocks are a good choice, just not sure on the weight I carry.
Eibach (sp) no bounce. I think they are a bit much for the light rear-end of my Overland and stock Overland springs, I just feel they'd be better on a heavier JT.
I may pull them when I strip my truck.

Are you saying the 1.5 -2" will work in a standard lift Rubicon. Compressed is the same yet extended I'll have more slack in the brake line?

The other is for 2-3 lift.
I am saying that I stuck those shocks on before I lifted the jeep and they worked great. Their compressed length is almost the same as factory rubicon shocks, and their extended length is not long enough to worry about lines/sensors 👍🏼

No idea what lift they are best suited for, just cared about extended and compressed length. 🍺
