LOL yes I carry one, but for ME I am complaining about a feature that is advertised but not there - first world problems. I lived in several third world countries where; A. Having a auto is a luxury and B. Having money for said auto is a luxury.

Well yes but the TPMS is always more accurate and far easier to see at 2am in the dark.

But I do dig what you are piling, having a simple tool saves a lot of heart ache. My major issue is cheap gauges are near useless and expensive gauges are somewhat fragile insofar as they don't like being thumped and bumped for miles and hours in a jeep. Previous work life doing metrology taught me that any measuring tool can be accurate if you don't mind losing precision. Also taught me that even the most expensive measuring tools will give garbage results once dropped.

Is there a durable, hardened and accurate gauge for field use? I find that when you catalog shop they all look the same and cost doesn't translate well to results. The super spiffy digital plc controlled ones that monitor supply gas temp, source gas temp and ambient temp are The Cat's Ass for on the money tire fills but are also bux-tons and don't tolerate field use.

Not to steal the thread, but does anyone have an issues with the Tire FIll app constantly being greyed out and says can’t be used while in motion? I go into settings and activate it in settings while parked, and then it just resets to being greyed out. Weird…

That's what I was complaining about above. I have the same issue.

Can anyone tell if this non-responsive icon means my 2021 Gladiator does not have the Tire Fill Alert functionality? I didnt see a reference in the owner’s manual. Thank you!

I can't remember, because it's been a while since I used it. But I think you have to have the vehicle in run mode, or maybe accessory mode in order to remove the grey. It doesn't work when it's running. I remember there was a trick to it, but it does work.

Tire Fill Alert
This feature notifies the user when the placard
tire pressure is attained while inflating or
deflating the tire.
The customer may choose to disable or enable
the Tire Fill Alert feature in the apps menu of the
Uconnect system.
NOTE:
 Only one tire can be filled at a time when
using the Tire Fill Alert system.
 The Tire Fill Alert feature cannot be entered if
an existing TPMS system fault is set to
“active” or if the system is in deactivation
mode (if equipped).
The system will be activated when the system
detects an increase in tire pressure while filling
the tire. The ignition must be in the ON/RUN
mode with the transmission in PARK for
vehicles equipped with an Automatic
Transmission. For vehicles equipped with a
Manual Transmission, the park brake must be
applied

From what I have discovered, you have to enable it every time you are stopped and at an air pump.

I don’t know how to “choose to disable or enable the Tire Fill Alert feature in the apps menu of the Uconnect system” since touching it didn’t seem to make a difference

I guess the good news is that i can’t fill mote than one tire at a time. So at least I’m doing that right.

I understand that's how to enable it. I've used it before. I dont like having to jump through those hoops to enable the feature. It seems like unnecessary steps to a useful feature.

Maybe I rode the short bus too much growing up, but SFTA is one fiddly system to the point I have given up using it.
