My experiences with Harbor Freight tools have been that it's all a great deal, as long as you're prepared for spontaneous, sometimes violent, disassembly. I do not trust anything that measures, and will not purchase anything that requires a modicum of safety. Not because they're Chinese made but because by all accounts, they're Chinese seconds.
There's some pretty good info here: https://www.garagetooladvisor.com/auto/best-torque-wrenches/

YMMV

Precision Instruments, definitely US made and manufacturer for Snap-on non-digital torque wrenches.

http://www.torqwrench.com/

Search the internet for "Precision Instruments" sellers, they will be the same models made for Snap-on without the branding and less cost. They are the place you send your Snap-on analog torque wrenches to get them recalibrated or repaired.

Also torques wrenches are not one size fit all, you need a specific wrench for the range you are working in, such as a 50-250 lb*ft wrench is not as accurate measuring 55 lb*ft as a 20-100 lb*ft wrench would be.

I went ahead and purchased one made by Percision Instrument. It’s made in the US. I was able to buy it for just over $100 on Amazon Warehouse. I couldn’t pass up the price! Thanks for everyone’s input!

If it doesn't come with a calibration certificate when new in the box, you've wasted your money.
Most torque wrenches you can pick up for cheap, will not have that certificate.

If you can’t find one made in the USA, I can highly recommend the Kobalt 1/2” which you can get from Lowe. It works from 50-250 ft/lbs. I also have a Harbor freight lighter weight one which is a POS, but it was a gift. Take them for what they are worth.

Good luck with your new wrench! I got a crafstman non digital like 8 years ago. Its been super reliable to me, but I have no idea how accurate it truly is!

The PI comes with a Calibration Compliance Certificate.

You can verify the set calibration if you have a vice and weights.

Honestly it’s made in China and I don’t believe their factory is going to provide an honest tool with honest calibration. It is their cheapest one that cost me $25 a few years ago... I watched a few videos on YouTube that showed it’s calibration was off wildly.

I was looking at one made by PrecisionTools, but I couldn’t find any honest reviews besides ‘Buy it now!’.
Don't trust anything from China

Honestly, there have been reviews that those "cheap" harbor freight torque wrenches have been spot on with the big dogs.

Hence my concern over their quality. If their product conformity is all over the place, I don't see how it can be trusted?

If you've made it this far in life without one and you only want it to do the lift, why not just rent it from O'Riley's, Autozone or any other auto supplier? They have a loaner and rental program that I have used tools for bearing changes on my trailer.
