Just wondering when tire pressure warning light comes on ? I backed out of garage checked pressure and it was 30 lbs. but not warning ? Door says 38 lbs. that’s 8 lbs. everyone I have seen before is at 5 or less ? I guess I have been getting lazy and need to check more often. Plus the weather has cooled down quite a bit. I know I could just air down till the warning comes up. Just thought maybe you guys would have some idea with out doing that ? The TP sensors do seem right on the money with my pressure gauges which is great. just better start checking more. it’s a 2022 Overland with all season tires. It also doesnt say in owners manual ?

It's a percentage of the inflation pressure programmed into it, not a set number.
Typically a difference between tires of 25% (one is 25% lower than others) or they ate 25% lower than the manufacturers recommended pressure.
My factory number was 38 (mine is Overland) - mine would trigger at about 28-29.
I set mine down a bit to match the new tire's lower pressure recommendation, so TPMS should trigger 25% below that number.

Then I bet the number programmed in is incorrect - 35 may be the "proper cold inflation number" and what should be set in TPMS - then it would be triggered if any tire reaches 75% of that, or 25% below the proper cold inflation number.

My TPMS is set for 27, so mine alerts at 25.
