Was looking around the forum and was kinda wondering the value of our Jeeps. How many of you have traded in your Gladiator already? What sort of trade value did you get? What did you trade in for?

I still have mine, and will keep it. But as far as trade value, you are looking at a loss of anywhere between 20 and 30% on a less then year old vehicle.

Traded alot of new cars/trucks in to find what actually i was happy with

I have been told by many Jeep guys that your trade value with Jeeps is drastically increased (due to popular demand) if you buy a Rubicon model, because it brings more money, sells faster, and holds a value better.

I’m new to Jeeps, so that’s about all I know about their values.

But at the same time you're spending an average of $20,000 more over a Sport so it's still costing you more.

I’m talking about value gap. The depreciation gap between cost vs. market value starts to spread further apart over time for the other models, but the gap seems to stay at a fairly steady amount for Rubi’s.

Im far from an expert, this is just what i’ve seen when looking for them in the open market over the years, at the different times I was interested in buying one.

Also, if you pay $20K for a Rubi over a Sport, you’re getting ripped.

You are talking apples and oranges. It’s not $20k. Actually only $6k. You can’t build a sport with 4.10 gears so you have to move to a sport s. AddIng the gears adds auto transmission. Rubicon come with the 7” screen base. Add that and the sport s prices out at $41k. Add the automatic to the Rubicon and it’s $47ish. Even then it’s a completely different vehicle with options you can’t get without buying a Rubicon.

Look man, you buy one of these new you're a dumbass due to new car vs. depreciation. But I love my Gladiator and will not trade it in, except maybe for a newer one in 4-5 years.

I was offered $38,000 trade in for mine last week at the dealership I was at. That's for a 2020 Jeep Gladiator sport with Max tow and manual roll down windows and manual locks. I did add $1300 315 70 17 KO2 tires and $800 2.5" Ready SST Lift and Rubicon Rails to mine. I was out the door on mine at just under $36,800 so I invested $2250 all together in mine for a grand total of $39,050 invested. So I would of lost around a $1000 on it, that was at Hendricks. Wasn't interested in trading it just trying to find out what it would be. On a side note I had a guy offer me $41,000 to buy it because he can't find one with Max Tow on a lot and liked the fact that it was as already Lifted and had the tires on it. Mine has 1200 miles on it, had 1130 on it when they offered the $38,000.

The rebates on mine helped a lot. Sticker was $41,000 on it and I ended up with $6,000 in rebates

A Sport Max Tow and Rubicon differ by about $9k. I'm seeing Sport S models for $8k below MSRP in my area but Rubicons, none that good. When I was shopping for a JT could hardly find any Rubicon with even $1k off but Sports were regularly $4k off, and that was before the holidays. So in reality you can get a Sport Max Tow for about $15k less than a Rubicon, but that's just the offerings in my area. Currently seeing Rubicons "advertised" at $8k below MSRP as well as Sport Max Tows $8k below MSRP, so it's possible to avoid the "$15k price difference", but Rubicon will still be several thousand more expensive. YMMV.

Where at?
AutoNation in Columbus, GA.

But fair warning, dealing with them SUCKS! You’ll sit and wait for 6 damn hours to get it done, and they still might screwup your paperwork! Happened to me...

was that out the door?
No, no matter what you buy, you're going to have to factor in taxes and fees, that will vary by state, and whether you buy it out of state or not, like I did.
