Finally, the Gladiator was exactly the way I planned to have it from the beginning, which took over a year with the supply chain issues. After all the planned mods were done, I went for a camping trip and realized it didn't work out like I thought it would. Nothing wrong with any of it. Just not exactly what I thought it would be for usable space and driving experience.

Anyway, I don't spend money on anything else really, so I traded the Gladiator in on a two-door Wrangler Sport. Loving this little thing so far.

It was fun being here while it lasted. Guess I'll see everyone over on the Wrangler forum!

That is an unusual ownership story but I'm here for it. Sometimes it's about the journey, not the destination. I hope you absolutely love your little JL! I went to buy my Gladiator and was sorely tempted by a blue two-door Rubi JL at the dealership. It was so impractical for my needs that I forced myself not to test-drive it, but I get the appeal big-time. What's your Wrangler like?

A black, two-door with hardtop, 3.6L eTorque, automatic transmission, and air conditioning. Not much else to it. It has the space I need for my camping outfit and fewer extras on the center dash. Something about the smallness and minimalism of it appeals to me. Can't explain it and too old to care enough to try!

I had (2) 2-door Wranglers. A '14 and a '15, and they were great. Easy to get in and out of parking spots etc. Never had any passengers so I took the backseat out and had a tonneau cover over that area plus the zippable window behind the front seats. Also had the Tuffy 'trunk'. Just not enough room so I went to an Unlimited and then the Gladiator. Then back to an Unlimited and now a Gladiator :giggle:

I'm doing the complete opposite.

Selling my Wrangler JK 2DR that I bought new in 2016 and upgrading to a '22 Gladiator Sport that I ordered in early June. After traveling and wheeling all over the country (from Virginia to Arizona) I have ultimately decided that the 2 door isn't enough for me. Always a compromise on space, comfort, etc.

Keep in mind, my other ride is a '15 Camaro SS, so for me it was really time to move to something that was a more universal fit. Can haul crap back from Home Depot, can carry passengers, can carry all my camping gear without stacking fire wood in the passenger seat, etc.

Good luck with your next ride! I do love the 2 doors.

Well, I guess if no pictures of it exist we'll just have to use our imagination.

I’m confused, I figured the 2 door would have less space because there’s no truck bed or choice for a storage bin underneath the backseat

I feel it. My gladiator storage is either in the bed in the weather or under a crappy non sealing tonneau cover i would spend 1500$ on. OR a 4500$ camper shell......

Jeep needs to make a dang JLU thats a 2 door! with a drop tailgate.
