Which trailer brake controller? I bought one from etrailer, but it doesn’t connect like plug and play. I would need to run wires to the battery and to the trailer 7 way plug wires that are factory connected. Finding the wires to the 7 way plug are not easily located. What would yall recommend?

I have the Tekonsha Primus IQ and it works very well.

With the appropriate harness to plug into your vehicle (that plug is right atop of the covering by your left foot) and mounting (I mounted mine just above the accelerator on the lower dash) it's a no brainer. No extra wiring needed as everything is already there in the factory brake controller plug.

Mine took like 15-20 minutes to install. It controls the brakes on my trailer very well.

Got Redarc liberty with harness and mounting bracket. Does the job for road trailering. Simple install (unless you complicate it) and Has optional push button feature for trailer-only braking. They have upgraded version for off-road over landing trailering.

Curt Echo. No wiring. It works perfectly. I’ve had mine for over two years and have yet to have a single issue.

I have the Curt Spectrum, was a super easy install (<10 minutes) and works great. Looks similar to the OEM knobs as well.

I have a Curt Discovery and 51527 harness. The harness plugs into the Jeep connector behind the knee bolster, along the bottom instrument panel metal frame. Way easier to access on a 2022 than the 2020 which had the Jeep connector tucked into the harness up higher near the kick panel.

I did the Mopar one in the Wrangler and the RedArc in my Gladiator.
I'd do the RedArc again, because you don't loose the 12v socket and it was easy. I did have to drill a hole in my dash, but it would be easy to replace that small panel if I wanted.
I think it looks clean and is easy to reach to adjust or hit the panic button.

I've used Redarc and the MOPAR controller -both plug and play. They connect right to the factory harness at the left kick panel.
Simple, they just work.

I just installed the Redarc Tow Pro Elite in my JTR. Easy install and the price is very similar to the other options. I installed the remote unit similar to @RudeJeepin above. I found the best price was from Redarc direct and it was shipped fast. Get the TPH-022 harness for the Gladiator to make it plug & play.

My only caution is be careful not to let that little knob slip from your fingers and fall into the blackhole between the console and the seats. That turns an easy install into an hour long swearing episode!

I tend to watch the science/tech articles out there, NASA stuff and so on. It appears they have indeed discovered a new black hole previously unknown, emanating from California.

I had a curt echo and liked it a lot. SIMPLE as simple could be. no wiring or install to speak of.

I wanted the Mopar OEM one and recently installed it. Easy install and works as it should.

The mopar looks the best out of all I've seen. Installed it on a 6 speed even though they claimed it wouldn't work (or at least when I bought it back in 2021 they were not stating it fit the manual trans)
