What I find interesting is that there's a plug/contact for 'Backup Lights'. Who has backup lights on their trailer? Mine doesn't. So, why the contact labeled as such 🤔 🤔 🤔

In believe most new light kits you buy have a newer 5 pin plug set up.
The additional pin is usually a blue wire and is used for reverse lights.
Having them and using them I find useful..

Most don't have them because it's not required by federal law - however, many companies are starting to add them, and for a while, you have been able to buy campers with backup lights.
Venture RV includes them standard.

I have a 2021 Venture Sonic and it doesn't have them so maybe they're on newer models 🤔 🤔 🤔

Could be. Looks to be, from what I find, that more are going to add them - with the big demand for cameras, more lighting and so on - maybe they've done some consumer research.
I know if I was buying today - I'd be willing to pay a bit extra for GOOD backup lights on the rear end of a camper.
Your 21 is already 4 years old (uh, not wanting to make you feel bad or make it look like it's yesterday's news or anything! That's not it.......... but maybe some stuff has happened in the last couple of years?
Feeling old now? No? Well, I tried! HA

No such animal that I'm aware of. However.... I have a 50 amp DC service from my battery to an Anderson connector that goes to my DC to DC charger. You will have to run the wire(s) from a fused point (best near the battery) and make sure your alternator has the capacity.

I use this to charge my travel trailer batteries when driving. The DC to DC charger has a sensing wire that tells it when the vehicle is running (alternator output) so it doesn't discharge the vehicle battery when the engine is off. Typically the battery is at 12.6 vdc and 14.2 volts when the engine is running.
Check your converter, I bet it’s not charging all the time due to the jeep having a smart alternator, redarc requires a low voltage input to get it to charge all the time

What size wire are you using, and I assume you have it fused somewhere??
Depending on the winch on them welding leads wire 0 gauge or larger if over 5k winch. Actually on most of the winches I don't use a fuse. Except for Badlands they come with them or a breaker. But do use relay's. On JT and XJ "did"

Don't feel to bad I've been working on my Scamp T.T. I ordered it in 2010 and used it full time until a few years back.

Next question (I hope is worded easier), is there constant power there at the trailer plug or will it shut off after the engine is off?
A "experience" I've had in the past during winter trip with my Scamp T.T. stopped overnight cold in 20's I left the T.T. plugged in to my Wrangler Unlimited cranked on the propane heater. Not thinking about it. Woke up cold and dead battery in Wrangler. The propane heater sucked all the power from T.T. and Jeep batteries. Fortunately, the AGM battery bounced back with a jump start. My learning experience was never leave T.T. plugged in to T.V. overnight.
Leading to another of my changes to the trailer, propane heater out replacing with a diesel heater. Lower power drain, way less noise and more control of the heat output.

This 12v plug ability at the trailer plug would allow me to run my hot water on demand 12v pump, water filtration UV light to flat 50L IRONMAN tank and run some LED camp lights.
Not a great idea. The wires aren’t large enough going to that plug to do anything but provide small amperage power to trailer lights. You’re going to very likely blow fuses or worse.

The power going back there is fused at 30 amps. It's not for the lights - those are all on their own separate circuit unrelated to that 12v prong.
It's made to charge batteries and so on, so it can handle a lot.
As long as he stays well under the 30 amp capacity of that circuit, it's fine.

My trailer winch will actually run from an old battery charger (we did it to load that Firebird a year or two back). 2500 pound ATV winch.
The leads are 10 gauge (but maybe a tad small for a full load)

Main concern is to just plug in the pumps and run some camp LEDs
I have a few LED lights and a water pump in my Gladiator along that line.
Earlier today I was "making a portable battery system" using the original batteries I had in my Gladiator on the solar system.

2 36 amp LiPo batteries now in a H.F. case to protect them from water to use on boat and camping. Saving some weight from the blue Optima in background.

My mistake. Thanks for the correction. I forgot about charging trailer batteries, which both of my trailers have. Small brain Friday.

LOL - keep an eye on me - I'm drinking coffee and diet coke and watching Terminator movies to try to stay awake until I have to go get my wife at the airport - at after 1am - ugh.
THEN, drop off her friend at her house, THEN come home.
Long dang day.
