Im doing the 60,000 mi trans service and got to the point of adding fluid back in. I pop the top on the first quart of Mopar fluid and dump it in my transfer pump container. Hold on, this stuff is red!! Mopar pt #68218057AC. So I go on allmoparparts.com to search the correct fluid and it shows 68218925AB. But below, it also shows the other part number. Both say they are for the 850RE transmission. I have 12 quarts of the AC but will have to order the AB. Anyone else ran into this? Neither one replaces the other. I feel like the AC which i have, is for a manual trans, transfer case. But I'm not positive. I do know it is correct for the transfer case in my Ram and both JT's.

Well at least I have 3 trucks that can use it. Ill go ahead and drain and fill both JT's. They're due for it. The Ram uses that in the 68rfe transmission and transfer case. It'll get used. Thanks for confirming what I thought.

Yeah besides the color the 850RE transmission fluid is 15-25 dollars a quart where as the transfer case stuff is 8-10 dollars. I have 10 quarts of the green stuff sitting in the garage bought through Amazon for 15.49 a quart

From 2023 JT Service Manual:
The first part number is Mopar the second is a global part number.
♦8HP509.5 Quarts/ 9 LitersUse only Mopar ZF 8&9 Speed ATF Automatic Transmission Fluid or equivalent. Failure to use the correct fluid may affect the function or performance of your transmission.68218925AA68218925GA

There are several manufacturers out there. The important note is the ATF must meet the ZF 8 & 9 speed specs. The 850 RE transmission is a ZF transmission manufactured under license by Jeep. I used Redline D6 ATF in both our Grand and my JT.

Do not use ATF4 in the transmission. Use 8&9 Speed fluid!
