Thinking about trading the gladiator for a challenger.
obviously a fan of the color.
will I regret and or miss the gladiator?
Or will my middle aged dreams come true.

Do it before the mod bug bites too hard on the Mojave! As Hootbro said, nobody should give you any crap for letting go of the Mojave for a 392. I really miss hipo cars, badly. It's much easier to leverage the advantages of something like a Challenger vs. a Gladiator on a whim.

I went the other way with my mid-life crisis, gave up the Challenger for the Gladiator.
Pros and Cons are going to vary by person but as others have mentioned do you want to go fast or go anywhere?
My complaint on the Challenger was that it only did one thing really well, go fast in a straight line. Yes, they are fun to play with at the local drag strip, but otherwise I had every little punk in a honda/nissan/acura pulling up next to me at a red light wanting a race.
So for me, I had my eye on seeing places that probably only 1% of the people will ever see. Made the trade last year and already drive the shit out of my Jeep more than I did that Challenger, been to more states, seen more of the world than I could have ever in that car.

Challengers are cool (had one) but not very practical. Especially in Ohio

If you are planning to finance check the rate before you jump or fall in love with the Challenger

One of my other rides is an SRT10 Ram. If I had to give up one or the other... bye Ram.

Not really an apples to apples comparison, tbf. But I have to have something like a Jeep as a daily to keep me more responsible. ? I've never driven a new Challenger but I would imagine it's just fine as a daily.

As for the whole winter thing... good snow tires go a long way. I prefer driving in winter in 2wd over any other setup, it's more controllable if you know what you're doing. But the option to put it into 4wd for the really bad stuff is nice. When I used to live in northern Ohio that was hardly ever though. And in south western Ohio I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Just get winter tires. Up here in MN... I think I want the option to go into 4wd.

So looks like I will remain in the gladiator.
#s did not work out, dealer is asking 10k over sticker since it is a last call challenger.
will have to try my luck on secondary market when gladiator is paid off.
The 2023 market place is a shit show
right now.
