I sure as hell think so. People on here will defend ASS like it’s some kind of religion but it’s just a stupid emissions gimmick to save a few droplets of gas while wearing out your starter faster.. it’s healthier for the motor to just stay running. I would highly recommend but to each their own
do you think if I pulled the aux and just left the main battery that it could fix the start/stop issue?

Or just get a new main battery and call it good?

Bypass the aux and replace the main. There are tons of aux bypass threads and many folks on here to help. Try that then check the screen.

I would definitely give the bypass a try before buying a new main battery (I would charge it tho). If still experiencing issues replace the main. That should fix the start stop issue. As to whether or not it will fix your screen issue I have no idea, I would say likely not but you never know

As far as the ass system goes, I just keep my HVAC temp controls at the extreme cold in summer and warm in winter. That will automatically turn start stop off.

Get the batteries checked or check yourself, and do the radio reset first.

The radio reset doesn't work when I try it.

In fact, when I selecte "screen off" on the controls on the dash, the screen actually doesn't turn off...

Well for kicks I did the "aux battery" delete - and my Jeep starts with the sole main battery.

The screen is still jacked...so I believe I am out of luck there.

Wonder if this is the time to upgrade to an 8.4....

Sorry to hear that. It's got to be the screen. The good news is that there are several options for replacement.

Can your dealer try an update to your entertainment system, might fix the problem.

I installed a new main and aux battery - but I am wondering - are there any NEGATIVE issues that could arise if I keep the aux battery bypass mod in place?

Could it void any remaining warranties if I take the JT into the dealer?

It is a 2022 with original batteries.

Can you fine folks recommend a replacement for the main battery and aux battery?

And I assume this isn’t too bad of a DIY job?

If the dealer who is going to charge $250 for a diagnostic test - is just going to do the same thing while charging me a ton of money, I might just try and do it myself.
Replacing the aux battery is a pain in the ass. My local dealer only charges about $100 more than what I can get the batteries for from Autozone. Well, worth the $100, but I suck and all this DIY stuff.

It actually wasn’t terrible following a YouTube guide. Took me about an hour going slow!

They can refuse warranty coverage for electrical issues, but voiding warranties is not a common occurrence.

If the Aux Battery fails in a state that is causing a drain of the Main Battery, and you don't want to replace it, then disconnect it. Otherwise, just leave it connected.
