Has anyone installed underhood lights to be switched on by the hood open switches? looking at going a clean install by taping into the factory wiring harness so when you open the hood the lights turn on.

Has anyone installed underhood lights to be switched on by the hood open switches? looking at going a clean install by taping into the factory wiring harness so when you open the hood the lights turn on.

There are two plunger switches to detect when the hood is open. They have specific uses, and I would not try to use them for turning on lights.
